My “one-day-life” in a photocopier rm~
*Well, it’s nt everyday that u get to be stuck in a photocopier rm and yet learned some things.*
*Good, old Shereen’s back now… glad.*
Hate it when ppl诬赖me!
This malay colleague of mine (“Miss K”) blamed me for the loosening of the photocopier’s finisher. I admit that I’ve been using the photocopier kinda often but the loosening of the finisher isn’t my prob! She was like: “You spoil the machine?” What the!? You don’t even know what’s the prob and juz cos I used it often and u say it’s my fault that it goes haywire!?
Miss K told me to call the service helpline, “explaining” to me how small prob could lead to bigger problems… even though Shereen said don’t need to call, Miss K still somehow insisted that I call. I got Judith to help anyway. Worse thing was the fact that Miss K dare say that since last wk, tray 4’s already been having paper jam prob with the A3-sized papers and she did nth even though she knew!? Shirking responsibility and accusing the innocent of being guilty is evil… I detest such sarcastic ppl!
*我不至于爱恨分明but I will express my disappointments/happiness/sadness/worries/excitement as far as concerned…把想分享/发泄地都尽情往blog上“吐”…希望没“倒my blog readers的胃”haha.*
I officially announce that I love the菜饭at the coffeeshop nearest GMTI! The fried fish cooked with cut fruits like apple and pear is damn delicious! Nt ex oso… $2.50 nia. *Weird the auntie always give Shawn a lot of rice~ bias la!*
Diana found a insect in her chrysanthemum tea today and then she shared how she bite onto sth “chewy” last time when she drank Milo… and YM was having Milo then haha! These guys have the habit of visiting Sheng Siong after lunch, to grab snacks for their afternoons in the office haha.
*My impression of a person can change very fast, be it gd or bad.*
*我知道你也会累、也会发脾气…可是不要在我最需要你的时候这样子好不好?Photocopier machine ah~ But I reckon… u muz be disliking Miss K as well, right? 不然你不会在她要“亲近”你的时候hang/stuck/jam la!HAHA!*
Got to know Gaya, intern working at the Conference management department when she came in to photocopy some stuffs. She’s 24 this yr, studying Business Management and specialising in HR in NYP. Gaya’s waiting for entry into NIE and she wants to become a English teacher…then a principal… and a lecturer eventually.
*以下皆是笔者的偏面之词….同不同意随你。*
Heard about some inside news saying that JC students with bad A-lvl results can surpass Poly students with GPA of 3.6-3.7, and successfully secure a place in the course they desire in NIE.
Unfair, right?
I agree with Gaya somehow. Universities shld make their freshie admission policy (i.e. the number of JC: Poly: other students)透明to public, if nt us students at least. Afterall, I bet the institutions won’t want ppl bad-mouthing about them being unfair about the whole JC/Poly students admission thing.
Ppl always say Poly students can always get a job in society with their Diploma certs, while JC students with their A-lvl certs can’t get them anywhere far… so they must get into U in order to find a 有出息的job. *JC’s basically about studying, being “spoonfed” and choosing to “grow up” later than the Poly bunch.* But honestly, nowadays poly students are no longer those “who can’t study JCs due to poor O-lvl results”.
Sad but true, Diploma certs don’t get us highly-paid jobs still. Uni certs still matter a lot in SG isn’t it? Poly students want to find a well-paid job, as much as JC students want the rice bowls.*Come on, who would want to work low-paid jobs for the whole of their life when SG’s “price of living” is shooting like nobody’s business!?*
I mean, by making it clear to students about the number/percentage of JC and Poly student intake acts as a gauge for us too… at least we won’t抱着空希望期待/pray blindly, hoping that we can get in.
Maybe all we want is the透明、公开制度at the moment. But to be透明, means that u’ve to be fair… 无可避免的.
*Ok, say so much… till the day this comes true… oso don’t bother me anymore I guess lol.*
*如果有一天你发现我的blog空空如也…就代表我的生活太闷/无聊/乏味到一种境界~ But dun worry, I won’t let that day come.*
*我真的很不想懂大人的世界…又乱又复杂…可是我却一天天在认识;一点点在接触。说穿了…我们不可能永远不长大…haiz.*
Joanne from the finance department came into the photocopier rm and then suddenly asked me if I’m interested to work as a telemarketer? She said her ERA agent friend’s looking for part-time telemarketer, to work from Mon to Thurs, 7-10pm, and working from home (time flexible). $20 per 3 hrs and basically u follow the template and call up tenants, asking them if they are interested in selling their houses. If the agent and client makes a successful deal, u get $50 extra on top of that 20bucks.
Sounds very gd and kinda easy money but sweet-voiced Joanne said she couldn’t take up cos she’s working full-time. Let’s hope she’s nt “害-ing” me… sculli tough job lol. She kept asking me why I don’t want to take up? Cos I nv try before… and everyday after work already kinda tired lol. But dunno… I might take it up.
The agent might need 2 female telemarketers… so gals if u’re interested, sms me by tml best. The thing is that u have to be a girl and have a sweet-toned voice. Actually I thought if since Joanne said that my voice sounds gd *No I don’t think my voice is sweet haha.* … and u think ur voice shld be sweeter than mine *very easily anyone basically haha!* … can consider this job ah!
*Evening received this “I-win-prize” call after the phone survey last wk or the wk before. But is it for real? I truly doubt. Nvm… sculli same as mum’s… 一场欢喜一场空… I’ll juz sit back and wait and see.*
Oh well, to end the work day, Miss Grace Tan joked, saying that she saw me stuck in the photocopier rm the whole day… and gave a name to that place: “Queensway Photocopying Centre” HAHA!
Tuition only 1hr today, cos Mrs Lim said Jorrick had loads of hwk. Jorrick didn’t do my hwks at all… but at least he finally explained after much probing: He returns hm late everyday after sch, at ard 7+pm. I forgave him, and promised nt to give him too many hwks in future.
Oh one happy thing, he seemed to be in quite a gd mood after bathing and kinda enjoy today’s lesson too… *I guess~* I heard him LAUGH finally… small chuckle nia but I’m happy enough. It was when he forgot how to read the“拆”character, after I told him how to read… like 1 sec ago. I told him to look at both the 2 same characters, and asked: “这两个字有长得不一样吗?” Lol… and he laughed.
*Smile more ah~ my student looks quite cute when he smiles… so Jorrick ah… pls dun wear the gloomy look when it’s Chi tuition time!*
