Hottie and Nottie + a recommended Fanfic
STRONG FANFIC RECOMMENDATION:
“Silent Night – A Murder Mystery”

Looking thru fanfic.net this morning and this title caught my attraction (plus starring DBSK members as well)… good one. It might be easy for me to start on a fanfic, but nv for me to finish thoroughly.
This fictional story is all about DBSK members as detectives, police officers and forensic scientists, working hard together to crack a mystery case that happened near Christmas.
The author’s grasp of English is wonderfully good and despite the tension building up, she’s got quite a gd sense of humour too… and I bet she’s a DBSK fan cos looking at the way she described each member in her story… she did included some of their real life personality traits in it. In addition, she wrote another love fiction starring DBSK too haha. That’s why I could almost picture DBSK as the characters and the whole story in my mind (like drama serial playing now) as I read along.
Writing a suspense/thriller/detective story is tougher than love stories. You need much more logic and twists when it comes to crime-solving cases. The author did some sort of research… so I’d suggest u have Wikipedia and an online dictionary ready because there’s quite a number of scientific terms, sayings and sophisticated words that are used as description in the story. Plus, this fanfic’s got some twists and turns here and there… it juz keeps u reading on! Just the prologue alone already “caught me off guard”… I didn’t expect the character she described there to be detective U-Know haha! I tot it was the guy who was gg to be killed in the “crime” or the murderer haha!
The writer too has a flair for details… for “big picture readers” like me (who always miss/dun bother about those teeny weeny details)… it’s challenging too haha. The whole 10chapters happened over 3days near Christmas… with the author going into whatever happens almost every hr a day.
So first time I knew about this kind of weird “disease” called Stigmata (nt “Stomata”).

2. YunHo’s mind was buzzing with activity as his subordinates joked in the background. Picking up his jacket, he shoved the case file into his document folder and stood up. “Alright you two, you can both leave early.”
Two pairs of eyes gazed at the clock on the wall, which read “5:30pm” with much aplomb. “Sorry to burst your bubble Boss, but we’ve stayed an extra half an hour.” YooChun remarked, with one eyebrow raised quizzically.
3. YooChun seemed oblivious to JunSu’s spewing of legal jargon. Instead he muttered “JunSu you’re such a nerd… And don’t forget that the only DNA we have to work with is female.” as the car picked up speed. Catching sight of JiHye in the rear-view mirror, he gave her a meaningful look.
“And what a pretty lady you are! What’s your na—OW!” YooChun winced as the flat of YunHo’s hand made contact with his head. “Hyung, what’d you do that for?”
“She’s my sister, and you all know what that means. Now shut up and drive.”

Saw a dish cleaner ah pek being reprimanded by his supervisor… tot he looked pitiful.
我一直觉得，人老了就要享清福。Of cos for those elderly who got no choice but to work, I sympathise with them. I won’t want my parents to “slave” throughout their life (considering that they aren’t big boss or managers); I want them to enjoy their old age in bliss. As for me, I will want to retire and enjoy my elderly days at home comfortably, leisurely. 该休息的时候就要休息。。。毕竟工作了大半辈子，还不就是希望可以安心养老？Well of cos, having filial children are a big bonus to u when u grow old.

Got NHG Consumer Fair today, juz outside my office. There’s this lady who kept on persuading us to try the powered cereal that she selling. She couldn’t exactly speak English, so I became the so-called “translator” for my Malay and Indian colleagues lol.
Afternoon did some arranging of papers for Matthew, together with HF and XF. Those papers were to be sent over to Australia by plane… recruitment of new doctors haha. Shereen’s got a lot of filing for me to do… she said “piled up for quite some time” le haha.
Anyway, time passed fast in office today… great! Thanks to the fanfic! Plus some gd Old Chang Kee food lol!
Went Cathay Orchard to catch “Hottie and Nottie” with Pat and HL. Though nt as nice as “Definitely, Maybe”, you can still catch it in theatres if u hav the time, money and a little bit of interest haha.
Didn’t notice Paris Hilton’s the producer of this movie… no wonder she’s the beauty in the show (ok she is one in real life la), stealing all the guys’ stare.
So this beauty has one best friend, who on the other hand, is extremely ugly (with all the super “manly” body hairs, nose shit, body acne, rotten toe nail etc) and who can’t get a bf in her life. One day, there’s this suave doctor who saw sth in her, and decided to somehow give her a “make-over”, and turned her into a refreshing beauty.
There’s this male lead, who was in love with the “hottie” (Hilton) all along, and who didn’t realise that while he was after Hilton on the outside, his heart’s slowly swaying towards the direction of the “nottie”. In the end, they gt together… happy ending.
Well, with chic Paris Hilton (her name sounds nice) “flaunting her assets” in the show, it’s gonna make all male audience swoon over her great look and hot body.
Well, with a funny storyline, you’re gonna hear lots of laughter in the cinemas… and we did hear VERY EXTREME LOUD laughter coming from the centre of the theatre~
Well, well… with “the ugly duckling” becoming the centre of attention (even beating the beautiful swan in the love game), it’s gonna boost the morale of many female audience who ain’t confident with their looks~
Well, well… I still think that the male lead went back to “nottie” only AFTER she became a beauty. Doubt he would like her if she still had that yucky mouth disease or sth, black toe nail, balding hair prob etc.
*I will clap for the male lead only if he kiss the “nottie” while her rows of black teeth are still there! That goes to show he’s nt for looks, but very brave as well haha.*
