December Boys

Reason for watching: Daniel Radcliffe's in it. Lol.

4 boys born in Dec, all orphans in圣母玛利亚’s home.
Spit, Spat, Misty and Maps (Daniel Radcliffe). He was obviously the eldest among all, cos the other 3 were kinda kiddish still. The story starts on a narration (someone who voice the adult version of the character Misty) from Misty’s viewpt.
The boys were curious about the world outside and lucky they gt a chance to go on a holiday trip during their birthday mth… which changed their life.
Maps met Lucy, and finds her often cos both were ard the same age. They fell in love but Lucy left Maps… and that left Maps in search of “truths” to things.
Misty wanted so much to be adopted… so he sort of licked the boots of the couple that took them in during their holiday stay. The other 3 were unhappy, naturally. Seems like Spit, Spat and Misty were all eager to get adopted, except for Maps… cos he saw some lies…

四个孤独、空虚的灵魂，
以为各自找到了坚固的依靠；
没想到依靠背叛了他们以后，
矛盾叫他们踏上了十字路口，一人一个方向，走。
但“友情”怎两个字了得？
叫一声，
是好朋友就一定会回来的。

December Boys。。。结局还是美丽的啊。

The friendship in the movie is pure, it’s bigger than anything else in the film.

PS: I don’t really enjoy movies belonging to this genre in the past, so it’s quite a success this time round cos I managed to finish the show late at 1.30am. The accent here is definitely easier to understand than “Driving Lessons”… plus this is both Eng and Chi subbed haha.
