8/10/10: 上海市博会2010 (Shanghai Expo 2010)

WT's Thai friends asked if we'd like to go to Shanghai expo since they were gg on Fri, and we decided to tag along since it seems a pity if I dun see the Expo nw... I mean being in Shanghai as I am.
We met at 8am, and took a bus to五角场b4 we'd switch to MRT. I had sth similar to a prata for breakfast(RMB8)... average la.
It's totally "ppl-mountain-ppl-sea" when we reached there, gg in via one of the entrance. Had to had bag checks b4 we could enter.

Our thai friends wanted to bring us to Thailand pavilion 1st, so we went to Zone B, whr most SEA countries' pavilion were located at. We could enter via the "special passage" cos they were Thai, and we follow suit haha.

There were beautiful water spray performance, talking 3D fig, and a 5D motion picture... quite nice. *Kanna splashed by water~*
Then, 3 of us went to SG's pavilion and though they allow us to go in cos we were Singaporeans, our Thai friends couldn't so we split ways.
Honestly, nth much inside tat's special... and it was somehw more about "musical harmony" which I think goes with the design of SG's pavilion. We watched a vid by MM Lee, telling hw precious water is to SG and all... I tot that was rather meaningful as compared to watching the music vid done up by SG artistes ba? Haha.
WT & I had the SG laksa (RMB35) once we came out, while Michelle tried the nasi lemak. There's really the "taste of home food"... though nt exactly the same but it's nt bad. Then, we headed for Australia's pavilion since it was only nex to SG's.
B4 we went into the theatre to watch the 5D show, I rmb-ed  the Australian guide said sth funny in mandarin: “等一下盖章要拿护照,可是不要拿真的护照!” LOL~ I liked the interior with orange glass... nice. The 5D show was rather amazing, as in technically but content-wise... din show much of Australia's culture though. There were 3 stunt performers who were "diving in the air", and 1 guy acted like he's gg to fall lol.

Nex, we went to Philippines pavilion... nth much... all about music again.
Malaysia was our nex stop and strange enough... there were similaries in the display with SG's one. They both had Peranakan culture... macham“势不两立” lol. And they were selling branded stuff inside too.
It poured halfway and we went to queue up... super狼狈. Brunei's pavilion was small.
Indonesia's pavilion was one of my fav... very "culture-oriented".
Cambodia...
And the last pavilion we visited at Zone B was New Zealand's!
Some photos along our way to Zone A...
Din go the China nor Taiwan pavilion cos they need reservations early in the morning.. like from 5am onwards. Queued for 1hr b4 we went into Hong Kong's pavilion... kinda modern one. We even took pictures using one of the photo-taking machine inside hehe~
We had KFC for dinner, and after which we queued up for 2hrs juz to go into Korea's pavilion! WT and Michelle were super excited when they saw U-Know's big poster there.

There were some mini-games, and when we went in, we headed for the queue for the 15-min clip starring U-Know, Si Won, Kyu Hyun, Dong Hae, Eun Hyuk, Henry, Zhou Mi and f(x) members. U-Know's facial expressions were "priceless" in there... and he even sung a few lines in mandarin!
The next expo's gonna be held in Korea Yeosu in 2012. 3 of us went to Korea's gift shop and there were many idol merchandises which were very ex, so I din buy anything. WT was mad about Max of DBSK, and in the gt his post-its.
We last went into Myanmar and Iraq's pavilions, b4 taking世博专线4号home. Dang the last 2 pavilions had no stamp... had to buy their stickers at RMB1 each.
