Scam call + 토끼와 리저드
*Was lol-ing very badly at Kyu Hyun when he can't balance himself after turning 10rounds on“黄金舞台-热血趣味竞赛”... he looked such a "weakling" there haha~*
I was in my room on Tues afternoon, juz mins after I started reading Michael Connelly's "Lost Light", I heard mum on the phone in the living rm. Her voice was getting louder, and more panicky. I rushed beside her and she suddenly told me "Bro's being abducted!" while on the phone. *The whole thing took place bet. 1.10pm to 1.30pm roughly... mum took note of the time.*
Mum was talking to bro on the phone, and she looked very confused and about to cry, so I told her to hand over the phone. I heard a sobbing voice, "bro" was crying and speaking, saying he juz ended work and some guys caught him and brought him to a place whr he was locked up. I told "bro" to hand the phone to the guy so I could question him. *Dang I was trying hard to be calm cos mum was almost in a state of frenzy beside me... honestly, I was more worried about her rather than "bro".*
The guy told me "bro" was a guarantor for his friend, who ran away with 15K. It's been 1mth and his手下couldn't find the friend, so wanted "bro" to pay back instead. He said "bro" freaked out, and his手下slapped bro a few times, but din beat him up further cos "bro" begged to call back. Ok I did think of scam calls at 1st but forgot to even ask for bro's name cos I was too worried I reckon haha. So, I told him we had no money to repay him, and the guy replied they would hav to keep bro with them. *He sounded somewat like a foreigner.*
I can vividly rmb him asking "How much do u hav now?" quite a few times, cos there were a few times I sorta beat about the bush, even bluffed I hav ways to find out whr the "bro's friend" was~ lol... I dunno I was talking about seriously hehe. The guy din wanna listen to me of cos, and I simply answered "1K". He somewat hesitated, then said wat "1K is small amt to their big boss..."... nw come to think of it, I bet these bunch of liars muz be very desperate for money!
Mum was praying to god while I was on the phone. The guy warned me to go alone to meet him to pass the money, and tat "we could sit down and talked about hw to repay the rest of the 14K in another mth." 人都为己, it's dangerous for me to meet him, and hw could I trust tat "bro" would be there when I meet him? Anyway, he was so despo he kept on repeating "u go bank 'press money'..." blah~
Just then, I heard mum's loud voice on her hp: "Huh? U working?" I realised straightaway this was a scam. But it's "not-nice-to-leave-a-drama-incomplete" LOL, so I told mum to lower her voice, and after confirming tat bro's 100%safe, I好心oni slammed the guy's phone. Darn he didn't give up, and was stupid enough nt to realise why I slammed on him!? Called back 2 times and tat's when I picked up the phone, heard his voice and almost screamed "U call again, I'll call the police!" Tat wimp hung up the phone right away.
Mum said she wouldn't hav know wat to do if there wasn't another person at home. She might really hav brought money down to meet the guy, though she did thought of the possibility of a scam. But seeing hw worried sick she looked, I gt even more scared than her la lol. Both of us weren't calm enough in conclusion, but we've learnt our lessons... nex time would "interrogate" those anonymous callers carefully haha! Though it's kind of a coincidence this time round tat this guy called my family, and we happen to
1. speak mandarin,
2. hav a bro tat's working,
3. hav a bro whom we call“阿弟”usually
... if nt, we'd hav seen thru the scam much more easily.
*Many ppl in SG hav received such calls as reported in the papers. Those jerks need to be dealt with by law!*
Finished watching BigBang's "K.M. Idol World", esp the idol drama they filmed. I enjoyed Seungri acting as the guy who's gay, and liked Taeyang haha. The ending was kinda eerie though~ omg.
