레버리지 + 두 개의 연애 + KTV & &Joy Eats with Jess + Christmas lunch at Gal & Joan's + Potatoh's dinner @ Nadai Fujisoba Ni-Hachi + Pat's early 31st bday lunch @包今天 & Teo Heng with WZ + Ip Man 4: The Finale, dinner & drinks with Farmily + Countdown to 2020 @ YB's + 2019 Reflection & 2020 Resolution

I enjoyed watching "레버리지" (Leverage) a lot. The five characters: elite insurance investigator이태준 (이동건), an untalented yet multi-lingual actress황수경 (전혜빈), security specialist skilled at various martial arts로이 (김권), former fencing national athlete cum top class thief고나별 (김새론) and hacker정의성 (여회현) form a team of thieves and con artists to target the rich and evil wealthy and to avenge이태준's son's death. 

Potato and Ian caught the American series before, so Potato recommended me this Korean version. There's comedy and wits, and로이is so cute LOL~ *Imagine a muscular man but he's so kind and lovely towards animals. Not to mention the actor's good-looking too la haha.*  

Don't think it's a really "hyped K-drama", but I unexpectedly enjoyed the show and I hope there's season 2!

Caught두 개의 연애for김재욱. This talented actor is fluent in both Korean and Japanese, and he puts it to good use in this movie to communicate with the ex-girlfriend, who's a Korean living in Japan, and his current girlfriend as he two-times. The two girlfriends met at one point, and he was forced to face two of them together. 

He stayed in "two rooms" with two girlfriends, two different stories. That's what the movie title seemed to imply. *两个房间暗示着两段关系，两个秘密。*

Miraculously, it seemed nothing was "uncovered" in the end. Anyway, what's not meant to be won't be. He should be contented with what he has now.

18/12/19 Weds: Jess and I sang KTV at Safra Jurong in the evening and then we had dinner at &Joy Eats. It's the first time I ate there, and the shrimps fried rice ($10.50) tasted nice at first, but got too oily thereafter.

25/12/19 Weds: PotaTOHs had Christmas lunch at Galvin and Joan's. They bought me grilled fish knowing I could not eat their cooked beef stew. There were also salad and mushroom rice... and the latter was yummy! Played "Codename" with them and Joshua, Tiffany, PY, Mervyn and SD. We also discussed about Joshua's wedding nupital and lunch rundown in October next year. I had dried prawn noodles as dinner at Old Airport Road hawker centre... so-so.

27/12/19 Fri: After tuition with Gideon, I met Potato at Tanjong Pagar for dinner at Nadai Fujisoba Ni-Hachi to satisfy my cravings and celebrate his good semester results. *Thoughtful of them to prepare a hand-written reservation note!* We shared salmon sashimi ($10), and ordered the cold and hot soba sets ($20 each). I liked that my hot soba soup had tiny bits of yuzu as it adds that bit of sweetness into the soup. Walked around Don Don Donki and we headed home.

28/12/19 Sat: Pat, WZ and I met at Nex Bao Jin Tian for Pat's early 31st bday lunch. Reiden is much more open-up to strangers and Royden has grown up so much! Bought her a detachable lighting from Klosh. WZ and I went over to Teo Heng at AMK Hub to sing for 3 hours in the evening~ whoa felt like we were back to Poly days again haha! Tried popiah ($2.30) at QiJi at the basement level and it was fat and good keke. WZ also shared some photos of her new home and contacts for blinds and curtains with me. 

29/12/19 Sun: Ning, Wandi, James, Gwen, Francine, Potato and I watched "Ip Man 4 - The Finale" together at GV Tiong Bahru. 

Still very much action-packed, but the most impressive fight scene for me was actually Bruce Lee's lol!

YQ and his new girlfriend Grace came to join us for dinner at XinWang, and my papaya bee hoon soup was yummy like before. Ning bought the girls soapbars each~ so nice of her. *The t-shirt she got Potato fitted well too!*

Then, the girls took James's car to Loof, a rooftop bar opposite Raffles Hotel. I tried their lychee bubble tea ($22) that had dark rum, lychee liqueur, calamansi, lemon, vanilla, tapioca pearls. There were also small lychee liqueur pearls that “pops” in the mouth~ very "fun" hehe. The sweet and sour taste was right up my alley. We chit-chat and played some rounds of Yaniv. Potato and I also walked over to say hi to Mina and her friend whom had Singapore Sling at Raffles Hotel before we went home.

Look at the pair of hand-made peony earrings I got myself from Colours By Liz! They are very pretty~ Also, I got YB and myself a pair of Moon Girls' for Christmas, and coincidentally, she bought me a pair of moon earrings haha~ our taste though~ *Earrings from Colours By Liz are very expensive, but definitely worth it in this case.*

31/12/19 Tues - 1/1/20 Weds: cPotato wore the tee that Ning bought to YB's place for countdown to 2020 on tuesday evening. She air-fried nuggets, chicken wings and seaweed chicken, cooked some rice, and ordered Lechon and some Peranakan dishes from BY's ex-colleague's restaurant at Eunos. There were also brownies, muscato and lots of beer and soju~

Jess came by later and of course had her 31st birthday celebrated too haha! Potato, WL, WS, Jess and I played rounds of "Exploding Kittens", Yaniv and a game of Unlock after midnight... just when we couldn't think much anymore haha. WX and Jere came over late too as Zianne was having fever the whole day.

It's 2020 now! 

Looking back at 2019, I'm glad I continued to exercise and do self-acupressure massages as regularly as possible. Potato and I also spent the last quarter of the year finding IDs and discussing ideas on our future home. We travelled to Korea in June and took our wedding photoshoot at Sum Studio~ The farmily's trip to Bali in December with Ian, James and Gwen was a relaxing one too. As for my third long-travel out of Singapore, I sort of took a leap of faith with YJ and Jess to Kyrgyzstan in August. That remote country, the rolling mountains, high altitudes, yurts, horse-riding, seemingly-never-ending potato-and-beef-meals, food poisoning and dehydration, nothing-to-do-but-wonder moments were unforgettable. It left a deep impression on me despite the mixed experiences, but overall a positive one in me. I am very lucky to have the luxury of travelling and buying things on impulse (sometimes), as compared to many in the world. Thus, doing good has always been on my mind, and I will continue to help and contribute in whatever ways I can to those in need. Work-wise, it is frustrating that STC doesn't recognise my efforts enough. *Hard work does not necessarily pay off tsk.* I will aim for more recognition in this line after more than six years of work, and meanwhile, I will pursue my other interests in the world of writing and voice-overs. 

Year 2020 is a year of change in the sense that PotaTOHs will move into our new nest, and I can't wait for that. Having a home of our own means more responsibility and skills to be learnt (especially cooking for me lol~). Also, living together means PotaTOHs probably can do lots more activities together! *谢谢老公，他教会了我很多，也很愿意一起承担和分享我们的一切。*

Personally, aside to saving up for big-spendings like travel, learning is very important too. *我学习的坏习惯是很多事都只懂半桶水，现在要学就要尽量弄清楚、掌握好所学！* I definitely need to look more closely into investments and start doing some on my own. Perhaps, too, cultivate a habit of reading and practise more translation too. *翻译这一块，我还得再精益求精啊。* Fitness-wise, I will keep at it to maintain and improve my health.

这世上有一些事值得我花时间去做，也有一些人值得我腾出时间陪伴。Last but not least, love, cherish, spend time and be even more understanding towards my family and love ones than before. Their happiness is my happiness. 所以咯，不能嘴上说说而已。

2/1/20 Thurs: Last lesson of Pound with Alina, and I felt the difference after three weeks of no-class! Let's hope we continue to work out and keep fit together!
