Backdate: Japan Kawaguchiko - Tokyo Dec 2018 Day 10

20/12/18 Thurs: The view of Mount Fuji was so clear and pretty at 8am~ We headed for buffet breakfast with this view too!
Yes we were stuffed for breakfast as well~ The variety they had was a little overwhelming, and oh yes even desserts! Just before we left the hotel, we took some photos of ourselves with this awesome scenery right outside.
Got some souvenirs (1800¥) at Kawaguchiko station where the shuttle brought us to, and it's the end of our 2D1N trip here!
Back to Tokyo and we saw one promotion event going on for the big race in Japan at the train station... nice. We left our luggage at Ian's, and left for Meiji Shrine.
There were barrels of wine on display offered by the French shortly after the entrance in. Two iconic trees (you see one on top) were right in sight when we stepped into南神门... very unique and pretty. We each gave 100¥, and picked out a poem. He got one written by the Empress Shoken, while I got one from Emperor Meiji. *Each poem has a message for the individual that got it. Mine translation read: "Some are fast, some slow, But one thing never fails. To pierce through to the final goal: It is sincerity." Some reach their goals quickly, others take longer. let your heart only be sincere and you will not fail in the end to achieve success. Nice one.* We also wrote our wishes on one wooden tablet, as it's a tradition done by tourists, and hung it by the tree.
From Harajuku, we headed over to Shinjuku, and I got to try Ichiran for lunch! Yes, they segregated each counter, and so you should focus only on your food.
I loved my simple tonkatsu ramen with chilli, yes right till the last drop literally haha. After that, we shopped around while waiting for the others for dinner. I bought some things (9705¥) at the pharmacies too, like mum's horse cream moisturiser which she loved a lot.
Potato brought me into a building full of claw machines and yup, we saw people on horse racing slot machines too.

It was 12 degrees Celcius that night... still cold for me. Both of us headed up the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building North Observation room on the 45th floor to have a look at Tokyo's night scenery... pretty but the photos are not "clean" though.

Happened so that Good View Tokyo restaurant which Yuri booked for Ian's birthday dinner was just opposite. *We could see Tokyo Skytree opposite.* I had the silver fish with spinach spaghetti but it was only so-so. Meals there were not cheap though.
However, the desserts that Yuri had ordered especially for Ian's birthday were good! *Happy birthday Ian!* It was as if dinner as not satisfying enough, we headed for supper in the alleys of Shinjuku... most of the shops were closed by then, so we walked into this BBQ place opened by Chinese apparently.
We ordered using mandarin, and yes it was one of the rare moments I'd hear Ian speak mandarin... sounds okay la~ not "weirdly-accented" at least haha. Chit-chatted for a while and there goes the night~
