Backdate: East Africa trip Aug 2015 Day 14 - 23rd Aug - Stone Town market + ZNZ airport for home!

23/8/15: Our Qatar flight QE1355 home from ZNZ to Doha was at 5.20pm, so we took the morning time to walk ard Stone Town market.
Pi let us tried a kind of sticky pudding in ZNZ, with red dates, sesame seed etc inside... very sweet. *I bought it back for my family to try but they found it too sweet.* Then, we had Urojo (potato with mashed beans and fried tapioca slices) for breakfast... it was sour but filling.
Pi was very informative as a guide haha, so he brought us to this shop at the 2nd flr of a random building, whr we saw locals using baobab seeds to make ZNZ's local candy Ubuyu. Apparently, they coat it with sugar and reddish colouring and cook it to sell. It tasted sweet~ a bit like话梅. *He could communicate so well with the locals haha~ many locals looked astonished lol.*
Each of us bought a few packets home too. *Awww I miss Ubuyu now~* We walked ard and bought Kangas (traditional dress).
Headed back to SS's home for late lunch, and SS's dad and mum drove us to the airport. *I actually teared when Pi and Jenny bid us gdbye aft we got onto the car alamak~*
YJ and I went into ZNZ airport, flew to Doha and then took QR 944 which landed in SG at 3+pm on 24th Aug.
This was one trip so far, in my life, that's a lil different from other trips overseas. A well-worth trip that opened my eye to more in this world. I'm thankful for the experience, and for coming back safe and sound.
