Backdate: Johor Bahru Mar 2026 Day 2
20/3/26 Fri: Had brunch at Little Bun Café and the cafe looks popular with Singaporeans too.
Potato had a hearty big breakfast~ My salmon with sourdough… salmon a lot but I'm not a fan of sourdough because the crust is hard. Their sauces for the Brioche was good too.
Found one lazy cat at Evolt Karting~ so here's our Grand Prix track haha!
After a short briefing, we put on the bandanas and walked over to the starting point to deposit our bags. *We looked like amateurs ready to rob hor? Haha*After one practice and one qualifying sessions (in which I was third twice)… I met with a few “accidents” in the Grand Prix and was relegated to fourth haha. Still enjoyed the “freeing” feeling haha! It was a bit scary when accelerating at first and the bumping into the corners (though I bumped worst in the "Grand Prix" lol~), but I got used and enjoyed it more later. *Only got competitive when the game is over lol~ but whoa the bump from WS's go kart was fierce man!* Eventually, I ranked fourth after the guys, and had a best lap time of 38.707sec (also my personal best time overall~) in 10 laps. In all three rounds, I did a total of 28 laps and drove 8.62km! Anthony won with a best time of 36.293sec, and Potato's second with 36.296sec.
I was tired and thirsty after that... and PPPD did not help matters. Potato ordered Chagee for us. Think that was my first time trying Chagee... peach oolong milk tea. Not bad. At least I could still sleep at night even though I drank at 2+pm haha... or I was just too tired. We then went over to Eco Palladium to do our second escape room game~ “Heroes” escape at Lost in JB. We only took 1 hour 15 minutes to escape this time. It was average for me, though Potato disliked the strobe lights.Potato recommended we eat at Roast and coffee at 4+pm before our next game and we tried mee hoon kueh in soup... average.
We then walked around Eco Palladium. It had nice exteriors but not a lot of people. We walked into a fortune telling shop and Potato played with the cats there haha.
Our Twinkle Square game was at 5.30pm and we played for 45 minutes I think. Just hopping around and sweating ourselves out in the arena haha~ quite fun in a group! For dinner, we tried the seafood dinner Sidney recommended at Grand Bay View Seafood Market. Amazed at how many live seafood they have and the dishes. We ate salted egg yolk crab, chilli crab, 1kg+ soon hock, raw oysters, ice plant salad, steamed prawns, sambal sotong… and it all only came up to S$53 a person. Sedap~ Look at how big the one oyster Potato had~ and he said it was fresh too.
