Backdate: New Zealand Queenstown Dec 2023 Day 15

25/12/23 Mon: Thought we slept pretty well because there’s heavy rain the night before haha! Woke up at 9am and ate the pies from Mrs Ferg Baker. The venison and mushroom pie was a bit sweet for me though.

Left the Airbnb at 11.15am, bought two UMF5 5+ honey and had lunch at a random foodcourt that I found was opened on Christmas day! We ate at the Sushi Platter which was run by some Asians.

My tan tan men (NZD 22) was quite hot. Potato ate salmon don (NZD 21+). We also shared some sushi and the mushroom inari was okay but the wakame one was a bit smelly.

Tried the Most juice: apple, orange and mango flavour but it was not as nice as the peach and apple one. Anyway, when we were on board Air NZ 265 to Melbourne, there were free meals for us just because it’s Christmas day haha! *There weren’t any on our flight to Queenstown though.* Mine was spicy tofu… meh.

Checked in to the Centurion Lounge at Melbourne airport after we touched down at 4.40pm local time. He had Gin n Tonic and I just snacked a bit while we were waiting for SQ 208 scheduled for 7.25pm.

Had spicy chicken on the flight back and Ian was so nice to drive is home from the airport at 12+am~ All in all, the South Island was a beautiful place but the weather was very dry and it gets ultra hot in the afternoon in summer, yet cold at other times. The other down side was air fares, food and activities were all very expensive, so we will visit New Zealand again in future, but probably not so soon.
