하백의 신부 + Dinner at Potato's place + MM & Andre's wedding dinner @ Wheeler's Estate + The Hospital escape rm + KTV & dinner with XY + Jeremy's bday @ Chikuwatei Nishi

Thought the fantasy drama "하백의 신부" (Bride of the Water God) could be as funny as "Goblin", so decided to catch it...

The drama was, first and foremost, draggy. I guess there wasn't much to the story except for finding the sacred stones and the love line between the water god하백 (남주혁) and his mortal servant윤소아 (신세경)... 故事有些空泛。I don't speak Korean, so I don't know how well the actors are saying their lines, but Korean netizens said the two leads "lack feelings" in their lines~ yeah they do sound dull.

But luckily we had신후예 (임주환), the supposedly 2nd lead who's a half human and half god that saved the show man! Nope he didn't really caught my eye at the start cos I thought he was a tad too thin lol~ but slowly as the show progresses, whoa one can tell he can act~ his eyes esp... the expressions were juz gd, be it pure gd or evil keke. *I hope he gets to star as the male lead in some drama soon~ wanna watch!*
And because of 임주환, I'm now catching a 2015 k-drama called "오 나의 귀신님"~ loads better and funnier than this show la!

30/8/17 Weds: Potato and I tried a new soup recipe that I kept from chi mags: celery, carrot, brocolli, chicken drumstick, onion and ginger and salt, and cooked for 2hrs... think we could hav kept the time shorter, so there can be more soup left and the veggies could stay "greener" too? But nonetheless, the soup was really sweet~ yums! He fried shrooms with chicken thigh meat, and also the usual上海青with carrots. MM had dinner with us, and we talked about sch matters since it was Teacher's Day~

31/8/17 Thurs: It was STC's Come N Mingle session organised by SVP Simon this time round... KTV! Clarissa jio-ed Bryan and I upstairs, and wow lunch and KTV and beer somemore LOL! Clarissa was happily singing away, but I did not sing cos shy... sneaked out of the rm with Samiah halfway haha.

2/9/17 Sat: Reached Wheeler's Estate and saw guests alrdy thr attending MM and Andre's church service, so I stood behind a pic before gg to find Potato's parents at the start of buffet dinner. Took a photo with Potato in his suit before he changed to casual wear for more musical performances at night.

Gd for us it was a pretty windy evening, but it was really dark outside so it's hard for us to take clear pics unless thr's DSLR cam. *Too bad I can't help Potato's dad with photography since I'm a noob in this area.* Ernest and Jayvern joined Potato for the second set of Chinese song performances too.

Congrats once again to MM and Andre! Grabbed the chance to take two photos with the lovely couple before we all drove off at 10+pm. They did a cute "first dance" item~ and then ppl joined in with sparkles etc haha~ Potato and I were busy talking to his relatives. *LOL everyone threw the wedding qn to us as expected keke~*

3/9/17 Sun: Finally aft more than 2yrs since the completion of "The Hospital", part 1 of the escape rm game at Encounter, we managed to find time to come for the second game~ this time with BY and YB joining us too. Bar Jess, the rest of us had dinner at the Penang Seafood restaurant near Aljunied MRT... gosh it was quite gd... enjoyed their Assam laksa, and all in all only $18 per pax for like 6 dishes and drinks.

Waited for the game to start at 8.15pm. *Unlimited number of hints nowadays~ we called like 5-6times? Lol.* The venue was much smaller than The Apartment, but I reckon slightly bigger than the usual escape rooms cos we went thru 4-5doors. 8 of us is a pretty big grp, so I was clueless some time thruout the game cos a few of us would be crowding ard one bk or sth lol~ It was similar to Apartment in the sense that clues are everywhr (drawings) and not all places that are locked had to be opened up. One moment was when BY opened the door to the ward room and some of them saw the bed nearest the door moved aside whoa~ l wished I saw too but I was too far back haha. 
We were kinda stuck at one part that required us to count the number of animals in the drawings in the rm lol~ but hey we managed to escape aft 40+mins!
YB emailed the management to uds the whole story of Mrs Fong and her two daughters... explanations were cool enough with certain missing pieces left to our imaginations.
Though I still preferred The Apartment to The Hospital cos it had so much more suspense and surreality to it.

5/9/17 Tues: Caught up with XY for KTV and dinner at JCube. It's been some time since I sang, but haha I always find Teo Heng's sound system pretty bad, esp in small rms, but oh well it's cheap (3hrs for $35 for a rm). I bought this chicken kebab from the pasar malam nearby and it's $5 for little veggies nia~ ex sia. 
We went to Mac for a chit-chat aft singing, to update for a bit. *Lol our bfs have quite some similarities here and thr haha~* Well, it's jiayou to us from now on!

6/9/17 Weds: Clarissa, HP, CY, Pearlene, Cherry and I met up to celebrate Jeremy's bday at Chikuwatei Nishi at Holland V. Had their Chirashi Don and it tasted pretty gd, esp the fatty salmon keke~

Gd update from HP aft he left the company, and we all had some laughters and drinks over at Wala Wala as well. It was fun "learning" while listening to HP's exp at "Thai bars" *ahem* lol!
