3/8/16 Weds: Treated YJ for an early 29th bday dinner for her bday at CWP Shabu Sai. It's the second time we're eating thr together~ and listening to her share about her 2 "weird" colleagues at work really makes ppl scratch their head... how come got such ppl on earth neh!? Aft dinner, we chilled for a while at Starbucks and she recommended the show "老九门" which sounds intriguing! *Alamak I gotta finish DOTS asap!*
4/8/16 Thurs: *Tried belly dancing for the first and last time~ my body nt flexible enough I reckon haha~* Eugene and I finished work by 730pm, and took Bryan's car together with HP down to Chinatown锦里火锅to meet Chris, Jessie, MY and Clarissa for steamboat dinner to celebrate Jessie's bday. We ate quite a lot wor~ but steamboat is forever too filling for me haha. Their羊肉串is a bit too spicy le la... I had 2 sticks somemore... $1 or $2 per stick very ex wor. *Lucky Clarissa and Bryan kept quiet when they realised the cashier miscalculated the bills lol! We got to have some of it for free keke~ still $50 per pax including a treat for Jessie~ nt cheap a dinner.*
Jessie the bday girl wear until so pretty whereas we 3 were... super dressed down haha~
5/8/16 Fri: SS, John, YJ, YY, John's friend and I met for五月天Just Rock It 2016演唱会at Indoor stadium. YJ, YY, John, SS and I had dinner at the foodcourt nearby before gg to queue at 730pm. *Saw XY and her bf too wor~* The concert was supposed to start at 8pm, but dang the queue was juz too long, and so we missed a bit of the starting at 830pm omg! SS, YJ, YY and I literally ran in sia~ and the opening song "Do You Ever Shine" in Chinese was so high la!
It's been nearly 10ys since I first went to their proper concert at Max Pavilion. I sang until my voice went hoarse quite a few times la~ no one can sit properly in the concert cos it was jus so good u had to move to their songs! 阿信's vocal was not in tip-top condition but I guess the members' playing skills plus the way these 5 friends talk made it up. They really crack ppl up with their words haha~

6/8/16 Sat: Headed down to Pasir Ris to watch Potato's cajorn performance at the residents' NDP dinner. Heartstrings help do accompaniment for SG's 51st bday celebration. Then, Potato accompanied me for dinner at White Sands Mall's foodcourt, before returning for their actual performance at about 9pm.
Potato was on the cajorn, and they have guitarist, two keyboardists and three singers, of which June was one of them. Pam helped took video recordings of their performance downstage. First, they did some songs with the senior singers of that constituency, before their own performance for National Day.
John, SS and I were applauding from below as audience la haha. Great job done o! I took June's car home, with Liz, aft bidding farewell to Potato.
8/8/16 Mon: MT, SS, Mich, YQ, LC and I met for LC's 28th bday dinner at PS Tsukada Nojo~ we queued like 1+hrs for it man!
Mich, LC, YQ and MT were trying it for the first time. I always tot their soup is super gd at first, but you do get sick of it near the end~ when u're so full lol. XY was not here, so LC had 2 strawberry shortcakes to herself haha~ and she found it so gd she could finish them pretty much leh haha!
*真心的朋友，也不需要经常聚在一起。太忙的，没办法，但those making it an effort to join in is much appreciated imo.*
9/8/16 Tues: Went to Potato's place and had shredded chicken porridge for lunch that his dad made... thumbs up! We were watching RM halfway when Jere called and told him a Dragonite is sighted at Yishun parks lol, so we both walked to a park nearby and indeed found many ppl thr la. *Din see any Dragonite but I caught Dratini hehe.*
Had dinner with his family at a zi char nearby... omg it's really cheap there and the dishes were delicious. And they all had beer except for me haha~
13/8/16 Sat: Jess and I tried The Populus Coffee and Co at Tanjong Pagar cos she said it's really good. Ordered their healthy grains meal and crispy croissant, which was a recommended dish thr. Both, esp the latter tasted real gd! We had their pot of French Rose Bud tea too~ fragrant! Dessert was dark choco sundae... 也是很好吃neh! Muz go again!
Then, we wondered ard the area, thinking whr to go nex lol...
Wanted to go K singing, but it was too ex; wanna watch movies but no nice ones... so ended up eating at Koh Grill and Sushi for dinner haha! Nice talkings there. And we bumped into May on the train back home~ such a coincidence... sec sch classmates but we haven seen her in yrs literally haha~ she's not as kawaii as she looks in photos imo keke.
15/8/16 Mon: Potato and I went down to The Commerze at Irving to collect the Fujifilm Instax SP-1 that I bought on gmarket. He wanted to bring me to Bowen cafe initially for dinner, but we realised it's closed on Mon evenings when we reached! Took a bus and ended up at Novena area, and we decided to try Pigsfly, which he had always wanted to.
Perhaps it's his influence, or maybe deep down I'm too a Jap food lover, we opted to have the chirashi don ($10) yay! The slices were a bit thin but nt bad la. Dear ordered his fav fried shishamo and he tot it was gd. The Magners pear cider I had was nt bad too. Most imptly, no GST nor service charge thr... awesome. *Happy 9th monthsary Potato~ no need flowers la dear haha.*
20/8/16 Sat: Took Bryan's car down to SAFRA TPY and attended St John's Home gala dinner at Tim's Palace. Saw Mediacorp actress雅慧thr as a volunteer... she's very pretty in person. The 8 dishes were honestly not bad... perhaps only the dessert (peanuts with yam in soya soup) tasted a lil' bland and weird la.
STC staff set at the second table, next to the organisers, and MP Sitoh Yih Pin was the GOH for the night.
The old folks at St John's Home put up six song performances, for fund-raising for their new home. They managed to raise about $15k (in which one man alrdy donated $10K among 400+ppl thr). I did my small part, cos it was really nt easy to sing and perform at such old age. One of them even came down from the hospital to perform~ pretty touched.
22/8/16 Mon: Potato let me slp till shiok b4 meeting me at Westgate's Greendot for lunch! Too bad they no longer hav their tom yam noodles on the menu~ so I had the herbal soup noodles intsead.... not bad la. Potato had their dried noodles with fried chicken meats. His soup that came along reminded me of五行补汤, presumbly cos of the heavier shrooms taste. *So nice of him to夹枸杞子for me and reminded me it's gd for eyes~*
Aft tat, we headed to the cinema and see if there were any nice movies for the day, but nope! We saw escalator leading to 6th flr of JEM and he suggested we went up... so yes we ended up at Poppy Pops to nua!
The cafe has been thr for 4+mths alrdy apparently, but who knows sia? Chose the hazelnut latte ice-cream, with one topping and one dark choco dip~ $4.80 yums! It's definitely a gd place to chill out!
Loitered ard at Westgate, and Potato got thirsty, so we headed down to Japan mart to get 2 bottles of Meiji milk and sushi for munching hehe!
Walked ard aft a satisfying sushi meal, and we ended up at The Wonderland playground on top flr of Westgate. Many kids were playing thr haha~
He wanted to go climb the treehouse somemore haha~ but nah it was restricted only to kids. *Saw Potato's "new image"? He wore berms haha... he's usually in jeans. Gd for a new change!*
He can always solve Rubix cube well~ sth I'm nt gd at, nor did I bother to try at all lol. We popped into Kino, Tokyu Hands, Popular etc shops~ juz window shopping. Finally, I tot we shld sit down at a random couch while waiting for dinner. *Used lure and caught a Ponyta yay!*
Treated him to Yoogane for dinner. *Used our $15 Capitamall vouchers to pay part of it~ $70+ in total.* He ordered the Korean sake and I had a small cup... ooo not for me haha. The chicken meat plus fried rice for 2 is too filling le la~ but he managed to finish almost all neh! *Love how my potato can eat haha!* Talked about stuffs here and thr... and it's so awesome how we can always talk about a lot together. EVen if it means silence, thr's no awkward-ness.
