十二夜 + World Cup 2014 screening at Boon Lay CC + chill-out at Beer Market + NCSS clique's visit to STC!

“十二夜”is a taiwanese documentary movie targeted at raising the awareness of public towards abandoned dogs and their conditions while in shelter homes.
Lucky ones were adopted, while more unfortunate ones could most probably die of sickness, spread of diseases, if not humanely euthanised aft a period of 12-18days at the shelter. There were so many scenes I shed tears for, including one which left me the deepest impression was how one dog panicked, howled and cried non-stop when his "buddy" passed away.
As human, we probably cannot tell for sure how the dogs could be feeling then, but we try to tell their feelings through cam, with as much accuracy and empathy we feel for them.
I liked their tagline: "Adopt, not abandon"(领养,不弃养). But ppl muz learn how to adopt thinking that this is gonna be a "life-long task". Animals are living things, and like us, they yearn for care and love; they would detest abandonment and torture too.

Caught World Cup matches in the mornings last sat and sun at Boon Lay CC. Met with Daryl on the first night, and GER won FRA! Jess, Daryl's bro and friend joined us the second night, and ARG won NETHERLANDS~ Messi's footwork is amazing, and it seems every other players on the opposing team were trying to run him down lol. *The crowd on the second night was obviously rooting for ARG... applauding so loudly when they won~*

Met Jess on mon, and we wanted to catch "The Fault In Our Stars" at Cathay Cine at first, but there were no seats left for two sadly, and so we spent some time shopping ard before heading for dinner and chill-out at Beer Market. There was "Original Sundays" event gg on, and we got a free cider each just by taking photos with some props outside Beer Market.
Quite full when we reached the place, and we sat by the bar table. *They shld open up their so-called "reserved for members sofa area" to non-members when thr obviously isn't anyone coming in to occupy the seats.* We had their chicken rice pizza and the seafood in Tiger Radley!
The chilli sauce for the pizza was quite spicy neh, but the pizza was not bad... at least nt very weird a combi. The seafood shooters were however to our disappointment... seafood taste doesn't blend that well with Radley imo. The 2 local bands were quite loud, and we couldn't talk properly before 10pm haha. It was aft the early hrs that they stop jamming, and we could hav proper convo haha. Caught a cab home at midnight.
*rRandom tThought: I'm stuck. Don't know how to move on from here. How should I play my chess next leh?*

*My jaws dropped during the semi-match bet GER and BRA, which I stayed up to watch, and 7-1 is such a big difference! What happened to the samba dancers!?*

LL, KU and Jess visited STC for the first time on fri night.
Glad that they found their food yummy, only my fried kway teow was too dry.I was a lil' worried Jess's gonna be bored there since she isn't a fan of animal, but she was almost the "craziest" one who kept on gg "whoa whoa whoa..." nw and then when the races came on haha.
They didn't bet at all, and anyway their guesses weren't that spot-on too haha.
