Racing Stripes + Seabiscuit + Date with uni gals at STC + WX's wedding proposal @ Cotton + dinner @ Ramen Mitsubachi with WZ and Pat

Who in the world could have imagine Stripes dared pit itself against the strong and big-sized thoroughbred horses!? The animals can talk in this movie, and Stripes the zebra had such big heart though he's petite in size. 
Hurray~ he won!

Finally, a movie on a racing horse. *Ooh didn't expect to see Tobey Maguire as Red Pollard the jockey in the show... he sure looks petite here.* According to history, the grandsire of Seabiscuit, Man o' War is considered one of the greatest thoroughbred horses of all time, but apparently Seabiscuit didn't inherit that rough temper of Man o' War's. *Can't rmb was it Man o' War or Seabiscuit who was the diff horse to break?* 
In the film, he was raced, for losing, and for other horses to gain their confidence. Until owner Howard was convinced by trainer Smith that Seabiscuit deserves a second chance, the duo, together with Red, trained Seabiscuit and began winning races. I esp liked how the production team went all out to make sure that the "match of the century" between Seabiscuit and War Admiral resembles that of the real race that took place in 1938. 

Thumbs up to a horse that brought hope to a nation in times of Great Depression.

Hosted LC, YQ, SS, MT and YY at the racecourse last fri. We were in the derby room and dinner was awesome... though service was as poor as last time.

Haha the gals were so excited when they made their first bet in life lol~ too bad they lost their "cab fare" lol~

Took cab to YB's workplace on Sat and we headed down to ECP Cotton restaurant to meet Jere as he told us the surprise plan for proposal to WX.

And of cos a successful one! Anyway, a freaking "ant accident" happened during dinner cos Rick dropped a piece of bacon on the flr alamak... poor YB was freaked out. I accompanied her till BY came over, and we cabbed home together.
人，若要长大、要成熟、要懂得，真的就得付出无比大的代价吗？I hope I can take things well in my stride.

WZ, Pat and I had ramen at Ramen Mitsubachi at Orchard Plaza on tues. Then, we had dessert at the basement of Somerset313 while we continued our chit-chat session. Always nice to meetup with them!
