Backdate: Yogyakarta & Dieng trip Apr 2018 Day 5

13/4/18 Fri: Had our breakfast at the Airbnb before we set off at 9.30am for our trip to Pindul Cave. It's time for tubing~ entrance fee at IDR 180K per pax for an approx. 2 hours of tubing fun. Raiz (pronounced as "riceeee" he said haha~) was our guide and instructor. He's the same age as me too.
We hopped onto the truck with our floats and Raiz, and made our way to the starting point of Pindul Cave, where we saw many other groups of locals having fun. *The tubes were quite heavy neh.*
Raiz explained that the water level was at about 12m in the dark areas I think? However, tourists wouldn't be able to play if it's rainy season and high tide. Raiz strapped all our three floats together as we embark on our cave tubing journey, and shone lights on the cave walls to show us bats that lives in there.
Soon, we came to a brighter part of the cave, where the water goes as deep as 30 or 40m, and tourists could jump into the waters from short cliffs. We got out of our tubes to swim and float in the river.
Some angmohs jumped, and so did Jess and WL too! They did urged me, but I was too scared to!
Cave tubing ended as we came out of Pindul cave. *Lol we saw durian shell floating on the river sia!* Had to walk another distance to continue with river tubing, part two of the experience.
Raiz and WL took some videos of us playing with waters and we uploaded them onto FB haha~ Yes the weather was hot, but it felt shiok to be in the brownish waters lol. *Not easy posing in the waters as the flow of the stream kept making us turn to face the opposite side...*
The early part of river tubing was pretty fun as the flow was stronger and three of us simply got washed down the stream haha! *We all agree that Raiz really looks like a younger version of actor秦伟la!*
Yes WL and I were "bullying" Jess who was trapped in between us by splashing water at her lol~ Raiz then led us to a waterfall and we underwent two rounds of "head massage" while in the tubes ouch! Luckily, no one was hurt during that la haha.

And of course, there was another cliff jumping which was higher... about 5m I think? Kudos to the two brave ones!
After that, we got out of our tubes and floated leisurely towards the end of the river. WL and I were together most of the time, while Jess and Raiz were way in front sia... wonder what were they sharing? Lol. *Really relaxing~*
Had some snacks and talked to Raiz before we hopped onto the truck with other tourists to get back to the entrance, and we used their shower facilities. To my horror, I realised I forgot to bring a t-shirt while I was wearing my clothes lol! Luckily, Jess was just in the next cubicle and so I got her to help me buy a tee (well, as momento too then~) there. *On a side note, Raiz and Jess quite“投缘”ah... he kept teasing her lol.*
Adit then drove us to Srigethuk Waterfall (entry IDR 25K per pax, motor boat IDR 10K per pax), and we took a motor boat, shared with 10+ other visitors, to reach Srigethuk Waterfall. Took us only about 3mins, pretty near.
Personally, I think one could skip this waterfall as it's nothing spectacular. We only spent about 30 minutes there. We made our way to Pinus Pengger Pine Forest after this, wanting to take photos at that photo spot and to catch the sun-set. *I scribbled down that we spent IDR 12.5K for 3 pax here, which I reckon was the cost of parking Adit's car there.*
The hand structure is a famous photo spot, and locals would start helping visitors take photos at night. We got queue numbers and waited for probably 45mins or so before it was our turn? Can't remember how much it costed, but we could select photos on the spot and get them to email it to us.

I think it was already 8+pm, and on our way down, we invited Adit to have dinner with us at one eatery, Bukit Indah Bambu restaurant, he randomly stopped by. *Nice night views here~* Adit, whose spoken English is not bad for a local, shared with us his aspirations and how he has a gf who is still studying... not easy maintaining a "long-distance relationship".
I had the bakmi jawa rebus/goreng (IDR 15K) which reminded me a bit of the taste of seafood beehoon... nice. Avocado juice was yummy too. I remember Jess kept complaining about her choice of Indomie (IDR 12K), which was like Maggie mee with egg la lol. We ordered for a fried fish and chicken to share as well. The bill came up to IDR 110.5K.
