11/10 Weds: Potato and I went to GLIMPSE at Queensway shopping ctr in search of my news spec frames. I'd wanted to get round frame glasses but it seems it's doesn't suit my face shape sadly... so end up choosing a similar squarish design to my current one. It took seven days from the day I bought it to collecting it at CWP. I tried Crizal lens for the first time too, said to have anti-fatigue function and I paid $340 in all and it's my bday gift from Potato keke~ thks! *Heng my eyesight stays the same aft 1.5yrs~*
YB recommended月光河粉at KEK Seafood at Bukit Merah during our dinner with WH, Jess and Stephen. Shiok, and the wasabi prawns and claypot pork liver was yummy too... amted to about $17 per pax which was okay for an air-conditioned place. 5 of us went over to IKEA for some cakes thereaft, but it was too sweet le la.
12/10 Thurs: Met WH and Jess for dessert at Poppy Pops, and went to Macs aft it closed. Chatted about their Jap trip~ haha!
14/10 Sat: Potato and I went to Cathay JEM's Platinum Suite to watch Geostorm as I won a pair of Platinum suite vouchers from Singtel's lucky draw earlier. Our first time visiting the "atas theatre" and woo even the waiting gallery was comfy. Not only did we have each a western platter, drinks and popcorns were FOC too to my surprise. Potato said the recliner seats felt like biz class air plane seats lol. They served the food just right before the movie began... awesome. So we could tuck under the blankets and "kiao ka like nobody's biz" and enjoy Geostorm...
Humans designed the climate on a global scale using the satellites "Dutch Boy" to act against extreme natural disasters. Sadly, greed overcame politicians involved and ordered for the malfunction of Dutch Boy which led to extreme disasters in the world. Dutch Boy's project architect Jake Lawson went up to space and he had to save the Earth from the catastrophe...
The visual effects were pretty awesome~ And dang Max (Jake's bro) has a uber cool Secret Service agent gf Sarah... 女神sia!

Aft the movie, we were so full from the food provided that we skipped dinner haha. Coincidentally, both of us then都在发热, and still we had so much fried food lol!
16/10 Mon: Headed over to Potato's place aft sauna detox session, and I was working on our Chiang Mai itinerary in the afternoon, while he was napping. In the evening, he got up to prep for our dinner: Bloody Mary scallops and prawns pasta for our 23rd monthsary hehe! He liked how Gordon Ramsey added vodka and tobasco sauce to the dish~ and I must say it tasted very gd!
Recommended him to watch Million Yen Women on Netflix. 12 episodes and only half an hr each.
An unsuccessful novelist had five mysterious ladies who were invited to stay with him out of the blue, and tragedy striked soon aft. He rose to fame soon with the help of ppl, as well as the death of some of the ladies...
Tried to watch such genres that Potato enjoys keke, and hey for a non-Jap drama fan like me, I tot I kinda enjoyed this. Show was not too hard to comprehend (depth of story), but managed to keep tat tinge of mystery that leads audience on. Sadly, the ending (revealing of murderer and reason) wasn't very "fulfilling" for me... aka "intelligent" enough, but this is still worth watching.

17/10 Tues: Updates of our usual workouts! We flipped quite a bit in class today but as Yip and Diana were both busy helping us out, no photos were available haha. It alrdy feels like quite an achievement to juz "get the hang of them" only!
18/10 Weds: Suggested to visit Tolido's Expresso Nook at Lavender for my bday lunch. WZ and I had their laksa pasta and it was quite nice~ Pat had the rosti and ice choco~ congrats to mummy Pat again! *Thankful for the bday gifts gals!*
Went over to MBS Black Knight Warrior restaurant for Taiwanese hotpot dinner with the uni gals. XY and LC couldn't make it last min, but the 3 "OCTopus" babies - SS, Mich and I were all present. Honestly, the hotpot was ex and meh-meh, 汤底一般, just not worth eating imo (no wonder we were the only table of guests ard sia... imagine if we booked their private rm but with min. spending of $1K whoa piang... not worth it). *Thks for the lovely bouquets! Oh and congrats to soon-to-be-mummy MT!*
19/10 Thurs: Singapore Children's Society had their Gala dinner at Shangri-La hotel, and STC's table was made up of Clarissa, Bryan, Jeremy, Debbie, Anisah, Kamisah, Serene, Norah and me. The theme was retro but I doubt many guests paid attention to it cos all I see ard me were "glamorous and formal" wears lol. Pornsak was the host for this dinner cum auction, and performers included Broadway Beng and Tay kexin and her band.
I liked their honey duck starter, mushroom soup and even the choco dessert, but juz not the sea bass main.. cos the texture's a bit too nua and dry.
21/10 Sat: Aft tuition, Potato and I went to MM and Andre's home near Dover. It's the modern and clean concept, pretty comfy, and the interiors a lil' diff compared to usual homes cos of the wall knock-down.
We played Catan and Cluedo before and aft dinner... I enjoyed it~ though I'm kinda slow in grasping la lol. We had chicken and veggies soup, and egg with brown rice for dinner~ courtesy of the couple. They boiled the soup from 9pm the day before and put in slow cooker the nex day... 完全入味! *It's a bday well-spent with them!*
*29th bday~ sometimes I think I'm not learning new things fast enough, a bit pek cek so I gotta buck up... hopefully I up my pace and shoooooo laziness! 要再更成熟懂事咯！*
24/10 Tues: Did somersaults again in class today. Tried new moves too~ Oh and Yip shared with us choco cake from古早味蛋糕~
Finished reading "The Minds of Billy Milligan". Knew about this bk after watching "Split", the movie loosely based on Billy Milligan's MSD.
I am angry with him sometimes, but most of the time I pity Milligan. I can't imagine living with 22/23 other personalities in the same body. Then again, it doesn't seem that it's his choice but the ill-effects of trauma that his stepdad brought upon him. If they'd successfully "fused" Billy, it'd be a lil' sad that the others are gone, but arghhh then again the others would nt hav been "on the spot" at all had Billy not gone thru a terrible childhood. However, many of the personalities possess incredible abilities and though "Arthur" was controlling, he was great in the sense he wanted all of them to constantly improve and upgrade themselves... sth I'd hav to remind myself time and again duh.
Billy sure is troubled, but talented at the same time. I reckon it's hard for society to truly accept someone with multi-personality disorder, unless they do not pose a risk to society in any way, right?

25/10 Weds: YB, Ben and I met for dinner at Toriki Jcube for dinner. *Thks for the hand cream bday gift and "It's Sherbet Day" card YB!* The trio hasn't met for food for some time alrdy, and it's nice to update each other. YB's been feeding me with info on getting houses and reno etc... she'd been a great help really. Ben and I further talked about our work aft dinner~ can see that he has a busy work schedule but somehow he could balance between work and stress, and still got time for exercise, which is gd.
On a side note, the fried chicken was delicious, chirashi don ex but huge chunky meats~ meal costed us $28 per pax.
