*rRandom rRant: I dun wanna go to sch tmr! 怎么会有心情for HC261 and Thai neh?*

*No longer the same sense of期待……是预感吧？Haha.*

Slpt till about 12pm on mon, and then as usual we'd leave for外婆家after we gt ready. Was talking to WL and jokingly asked about his crush in sch nw, and turns out he's quite a痴情种neh... 竟然暗恋pri 2的女同学till nw o lol! Anyway, no cab in sight in the afternoon, so we took bus down to婆婆家.

Cousin Michelle came back to SG for a 3wks' holiday break with her 2-yr old son, Kenshin(?), her hubby's still working in Japan though. Kenshin's a cute boy, and he's kinda the centre of attention... very "clingy" to his mummy haha. After lunch, Gary gt all of us together for grp photos. Since I oni see them about once a yr, it's great to hav photos as momento!

果然是长幼有序haha. Grandma, Big uncle and aunt, dad and mum sat down, while the younger uncles and aunts were behind. We “年轻人” (aka those of my generation) took grp pics too. *I juz realised nt all of 2nd aunt's children were in, except Michelle and her son.*

Then, we decided to take photos with grandma, including the "whole-gang-of-youngsters"... with my nieces and nephews too!

有一句成语叫“儿孙满堂”，送给婆婆。

另有一句成语叫“声势浩大”haha~送给年轻人们吧~ LOL.

Went over to外婆家, dressed in my home clothes since it's oni a blk away haha. 小舅and his family came over at 1+pm, and omg it's oni been a yr since I last saw DX... he gt more plump le! *I still miss the cute him haha.* As for WQ, I honestly couldn't recognise her cos she changed so much since her baby times lol. We "lo heng" o~ 阿姨was nice enough to take the time to make the鱼生, and replaced salmon with abalone haha. Took a few photos with XY, SF as well as阿姨and姨丈.

阿姨一家人长得好像啊~ haha! The adults and bro played mahjong in living rm, while XY, SF, BL and I ended up played Monopoly Deal, Big 2, and the fortune-telling game they taught me in mum's rm. Tat was about hw we spent our afternoon!

I think we were hooked onto this fortune-telling game. A tad too bad XY and SF weren't very sure about the "analysis" part so almost after every time we gt a "result", we had to run to阿姨and asked for her analysis lol. *Okie la I did learnt hw to analyse a bit hehe.* I guess it's kinda fun... shall play with my friends in future. Oh and thks to XY for the mini pouch and mirror from BKK!

They left at about 8pm after dinner, cos姨丈wants to go over to his sworn bro's place to拜年. Okie so the 2 most impt days in CNY is over already... time juz passes by without us knowing!

Happened to chance upon "อยากรักก็รักเลย" (Yes or No) on youtube, and whilst I was curious about the coupling, I顺便tried to catch and learn a bit of Thai lang from there haha.

Story of roomies Pie and Kim. Kim's a child from乡下, 对于爱情是懵懵懂懂的。 Pie told Kim she looked everywhr like a "T", and was at 1st somewat disgusted by Kim's appearance. But the nice Kim treated Pie really well, and yup so the 2 gt together in the end, despite Pie's mum's objection. Can see tat the director was trying to营造纯纯的爱恋bet 2 gals... and succeeded haha!

Tina Jittaleela reminds me of刘力扬from some angle, juz tat she looks even more childish somehw haha. The pair were cute on-screen, but dunno if this couple pairing is for real la haha.

正不正常，怎么由这个世界来定义呢？I reckon everyone has the right to choose who they like.

Reunion Dinner on 22/1/12!

It's the last day of 2011 today, according to the lunar calendar. As usual, mum'd already placed new decorations in the house.

Still did a lil' bit of "penmanship" for Thai in the afternoon cos I'm learning hw to write Thai script atm... tough neh.

Reunion dinner at night was steamboat!

Mum dun like to take photos while eating, so I simply snapped a few pics haha. Was a sumptuous meal, but couldn't finish the food as usual lor haha! Ok shall go back to watching channel 8's countdown for CNY 2012, and maybe an epi of "Running Man" later hehe!

孩子不坏 + 导火线

It's random when LL and I decided to catch "孩子不坏".

Even though I din like Amos Yee's attitude on youtube in his vid about CNY, I agree a lil' with him about the choppy scenes tat affected the overall smooth flow of this movie. *I disliked hw one scene suddenly fade into black and a new scene tat followed up branches into other part of the storyline.* I guess Jack Neo somewat tried to put a lot of stuff into this new yr blockbuster of his, causing it to somehw look draggy in tat 2.5hrs.

It's with famous artistes like陈晓东and夏如芝，veteran musicians like巫启贤and黎沸辉，as well as the 2 main leads from "I Not Stupid" Joshua and Shawn tat this movie caught my eye since the trailer came out. *Nonetheless, I tot the gal and little boy who acted as Shawn's younger siblings were gd too.* I was laughing hard at almost all scenes the little boy appeared in, and also the one whr Joshua and Shawn helped夏如芝deliver her baby... so awkward yet hilarious at the same time! Oh and imo Shawn is tall and gd-looking nw. Joshua's gained a lil' weight, and he really reminds me of李南星from some angles haha. I kind of enjoyed陈晓东's role as a passionate teacher too... plus handsome-ness... wat more can a student ask for in a teacher!? LOL~ juz kidding.

Yes I think赚人热泪is still the aim in Jack Neo's film, but some parts were overdone imo. The part whr向云shaved her daughter's hair, the gal wept and said tat she loved her mum umpteen times. Guess Jack wants us to know hw much she meant it, but I felt it could be shortened much more.

即使没有很完美的叙事交待，但还是演绎出了你我的回忆。

教育意义不算啰嗦，只是要不断地提醒每一轮年轻的一代孩子，父母给的爱胜过一切。感谢这般用心良苦，还有classic的“向上”台词：think positive.

Uni clique early CNY dinner + Johnny English Reborn + Jess's belated 23rd bday @ 15 Minutes cafe!

Met up with my uni gals on thurs evening for our early CNY reunion dinner at Sakae Sushi at Marina Square. I made a reservation but the staff said they din hav it... eiyr! Lucky there's still seats for us la. We din捞鱼生in the end though cos we were too full!

We were so eager to let XY share with us her exchange to Beijing last sem. Poor gal seemed to be "forced" to tell us stuffs LOL~ But I guess it's normal tat u get to know ppl a lot better when staying together mah. Nice gal din forget to get us souvenirs from Peking Uni haha~ And thks a lot for the belated bday presents for Mich, SS, YQ and me!

Watched "Johnny English Reborn".

"Mr Bean" is funny as ever! I dunno but I reckon I can't get enough of Rowan Atkinson, so I hope there's a part 3 to this movie!

Arranged for a dinner at 15 Minutes cafe at Laselle for Jess's belated 23rd bday celebration. I decided to wear my pair of民族风wedges for the night since it could make my legs look longer a lil', and it had to spoil while on the way to the cafe~ so米臭lor! Well but in return I gt myself a new shoes for 15bucks... black and I like it!

Well anyway, YB wanted to sit at the high-end table, so we shifted there. *I'd prefer sitting at low seats myself.* Considered a pricey canteen as compared to NTU, NUS kind lol~ I enjoyed the ambience there though. It's nt bad a place for gatherings. *Acoustic performance tonight din wow-ed me maybe cos we were chit-chatting, so I din really pay attention to the songs the singer was singing.*

Jess received a knitted cardigan, bag and lip gloss from us! I guess all of it suits her very well! *Lol YB liked the cardigan so much she was complaining tat I din buy for her haha~*

Was cam-whoring while waiting for our food to come~ And as usual, YB was so meticulous about photo qualities... a teeny weeny bit of "blur-ness" at one lil' corner of the cam couldn't escape her eyes lol. *James and I都叫救命啦~haha!*

Don't ask me wat we were doing during the last few poses... YB juz randomly took continuous shots la haha. But it's fun ah... I could easily come up with silly dialogues for the above pics LOL.

I kind of liked the oriental duck pizza... with the egg and pieces of oranges on it. YB found it salty though... most prob. cos of duck meat ba. But my smoked salmon cabonara pasta was too creamy for me neh~ super thick!

4 of us shared the fudge and vanilla ice-cream too... so-so to me, cos it's simply 3x sweetness there haha. The bill amt-ed to about $102~ my glasses almost dropped, considering this is a "sch canteen". We cabbed home... 9bucks each too omg. *突然巴不得自己已经踏入社会工作了！*

Oh and it's CNY in a few days' time... the golden pineapple tart mum brought back from MBS looks tempting!

命中注定我爱你

Been some time since I'm kinda attracted to by a drama. I guess there's this charisma about "命中注定我爱你"... thus the high viewers' rating. You could say it looked like a typical "fairytale", but the arrangement of the storyline ain't so. In fact, the beginning of the show already resembles the climax, or even the post-climax portions of most other idol dramas. In fact, I enjoyed the front part of the story most.

纪存希is one with a great sense of responsibility, and he's torn bet. Anna and陈欣怡at 1st. His love for陈欣怡muz be a日久生情one, and seeing hw those coincidences separate the two really叫观众纠结啊~ Ethan Ruan is one cute actor, and wow he has tat unique "aura" tat somehw gives him both a gd and bad boy image at the same time. 便利贴女孩陈欣怡is the "ultimate goodie protagonist" in every typical idol drama... she's the weak one, whom everyone would hav a soft spot for. 陈乔恩's nt a big beauty, yet she portrayed the character well! Even the "third party" Dylan is one bosom buddy/bf many would want to hav! He may sound like he's "preaching" all the while, but his words were wat made most sense in the show every time. He did liked陈欣怡, but he was clear-headed at the same time. *Aiyoh hw I wish he could be more senseless at times and he might juz end up with the female lead! Haha wishful thinking of mine la~* Nonetheless, 陈楚河reminds me of Jerry Yen somewat lol.

Din get any "SS4" tickets myself but I'm nt tat bothered, after all I'd been to "SS3" already... great exp nw coming to think of it. *Poor Bel's kinda upset tat she might be gg alone on sat though...* Anyway, I met Bel on sat evening and we headed to Far East Plaza. She had her hair appointment initially, so I shopped alone myself ard the basement for CNY shoes. I guess I already hav a rough idea to the kind of shoes I was looking for, and in the end I bought a pair of heels and creepers... costed me nearly 60bucks! Bel din do her hair in the end, so we went to Popeye for dinner. Then we went to the 4th flr of Ionn, and chatted for a few hrs over there. It's a heart-warming chat, since the 2 of us seldom do so... maybe the mood was right? Haha!

知道那么多人的秘密，好像应该是一种荣幸hor? Lol.

感谢和我分享的每一个朋友，即使可能你们不觉得聊的那些话有什么。面对可以谈心的朋友，我几乎可以百分之百的坦然，毕竟我相信相互的心灵交换才是让友谊更进一步的基础。

By the time we leave Ionn, it was about 11+pm. 2 of us took a lift to lvl B2 oni to find the exit blocked. I guess even though I was consoling Bel, telling her we'd find a way out no matter wat, I was already getting nervous sub-conciously... so much so tat when I saw the security guard after I gt out of the lift for the second time, I forgt wat's "MRT", and "Whr's the lift?" came out of my mouth instead! So LOL~ lucky Bel was there to help me re-ask her la haha~ Slpy me!

醉后决定爱上你 + JB trip

It's almost a wk since sch started. Haven't finalised mods tat I'm gonna take right up till nw, but I guess I'd hav to stick firm to my decision, dun I? Don't know if I am gonna get my korean lvl 1 since I juz appealed for it, and thai's currently on my list of registered mods haha. *Hopefully I would be able to cope with the lang if I am taking, since I do hav interest in it.* Oh and I rmb-ed gg to BS8005 Beauty and Myths lec... it's useful knowledge, and I might juz take it nex time!

*我会为我说过的话负责任，不管怎样都不会让帮我的人“吃亏”，但这一次没有必要的assurance很莫名其妙。Paranoid. 尽管大概没有下一次，但总会提醒自己找人帮忙还是要注意找上的对象。*

Finished watching "醉后决定爱上你"!

The 1st funny thing I tot when I was watching this drama was tat Kingone's head was way too big as compared to Rainie's LOL! 张孝全looks kind of stern but his character was really funny, think he has a flair for being a comedian? Haha. I was literally "chasing" the episode at the beginning, cos I tot the process from hw the 2 main leads fell in love was intriguing. Began to lose interest after小鬼appeared, well cos I tot their青梅竹马love line dragged the whole plot... unnecessary节外生枝which seemed as if it's there to extend the no. of episodes.

Besides Ariel Lin, I reckon Rainie's another gd actress cos there's a no. of crying scenes from her and they were gd.

Met with WZ and Shirlyn on thurs for JB trip! I think it's been more than a yr since I went in last time. The exchange rate was 2.39, which was average I think? We cabbed down to KSL and lucky WZ'd been there b4, so she brought us ard to those shops tat sells clothes at 2 for RM50. There were a no. of such shops, but nt all the styles were to my liking of cos, and I din buy any in the end cos I'd been shopping online on my own, and mum had been complaining tat I bought too many clothes, so I sorta curbed my temptations over there. WZ and Shirlyn bought quite a no. of clothes, but Shirlyn seems to be the type whom would consider a lot b4 buying, nt WZ though haha.

I was looking ard for shoes, but none were to my liking, and honestly shoes there weren't cheap at all, even the cheapest was about RM39.90. *Guess I've to try to find my CNY shoes in SG.* We had dinner at PizzaHut, and guess wat? We each had a set meal (including chicken soup, pepsi and tempura prawn spag) and shared 6chicken wings... costed oni RM17 each~ cheap neh. And I agree the food at PizzaHut there is definitely nicer than the ones in SG. Walked over to Holiday Plaza, and some shops were already closed by 8pm, so we walked the rest. I gt myself a ladies' bag at RM30... gonna bring it for CNY! So imo, KSL and Holiday Plaza is nt bad a shopping place for clothes and bags. Shld go in more often haha.

Bro's POP + dinner with Regina & LL at Oasis Taiwan Porridge

Been some time since I woke up in the morning, and 5.30's kind of a feat for someone who'd been slping till noon time ok!? Bro had his POP on sat, and the whole family went to Marina floating platform for the ceremony.

*There's near to 5000 recruits "pop-ing" tat day alone... can u imagine!?*

My 1st time at the floating platform, nt for NDP but for POP lol. The morning sun ray was as glaring as the ones u exp in noon eh. We knew roughly whr bro's coy was at when the recruits assembled on the field but there's no way for me to see him at all... 密密麻麻的haha. *Kinda funny when the commander gave the order for them to "wriggle"... looked so "cartoon-ish" haha.*

Their army songs were kinda funny too. And the graduating recruits did their cheer as well... so LOL. Think the moment they tossed their caps, bro shld be feeling super relieved ba, after 19wks of physically-demanding training sessions. We were supposed to go to the respective coy's area and find my bro, and yeah I saw him in tat sea of汗臭味. *macham认领孤儿tat all looked the same lol~*

He's definitely so much darker, and somewat slimmer than b4 of cos. I reckon everyone looks better when they are slimmer, but can't say for sure hw long would he maintain the current build for haha. *169cm!? Lol.* Mum saw him sweating hard, and she couldn't help it juz took tissue and helped bro wiped his sweat. 看得出妈妈很心疼当兵的弟弟……19个星期来听她的叨念etc... 只能说“天下父母心”吧!

We were lucky to hop on a cab home... poor bro was complaining about his bone cracking from the "boulder on his back" haha. Oh and his voice was hoarse from the yelling and stuff at camp. *倒是希望弟弟更加成熟了吧。*

Began editing the photos I took in the morning, and I'd planned to nap in the afternoon b4 meeting Regina and LL in evening for dinner but alas... I didn't in the end haha. Oh and cos we were meeting at TPY, I took the NS line all the way down... long journey and I was yawning all the way neh! Regina's hubby drove her there, and the 2 began telling me hw they rmb-ed the famous Oasis Taiwan Porridge when it was situated near Kallang River last time. We sat on the outside and the view was pretty "oriental".

I leave ordering of the food to the 2 sisters since I'm nt exactly fussy about wat to eat, and well they knew better than I do haha. The 2 of them你一句、我一句... and in no time made up their minds! So it looked like we gt a spread hehe...

I esp loved the芙蓉蛋and菠菜with鲍鱼片~ and LL was so nice haha... she knew spinach was my fav veggie and she ordered it hehe. The duck meat was kinda salty and a bit tough, claypot猪肝was ok but I liked the sauce. "Hae Zou" was quite nice too. Basically the dishes were there to accompany our potato porridge... taiwanese style haha. We were talking randomly about things happening ard us, like hw "crappy" LL's ex supervisor was etc... lol. *其实我觉得自己和她们一样，说话也会比手划脚，七情上面的leh lol!* It was later when Regina shared her story, and I was pretty much "quiet" thruout the whole session... lucky LL loves being the "advisor" haha. I guess lotsa things were running about in my mind, and I din want to cut her words anyway, and being the little sis among the 3, it's best to remain quiet and listen to words from the wiser.

我大概能理解“婚姻不只是两个人的事情”的意思吧，虽然我曾幼稚地不苟同过。

婚后，家庭就是全部吗？自己呢？自己应该放在什么位置上？

是默默忍受、让步就会换来家人/佳人的关心吗？累积久了，或许才发现自己最可怜。

女人是心软的动物，但我认为还是应该捍卫属于自己的rights，即使很多时候脆弱的女人都忘了要这么做。

夫妻间的沟通，坦诚相对很重要。如果一方拼命地想解决问题，另一方却意兴阑珊，then the snowball would oni get bigger.

女人，当老婆，要的不外是老公的贴心；当媳妇，要的不过是公婆的体谅；当妈妈，要的仅是孩子的孝心。可惜，做梦永远比实现来得容易。

女人生活的重心，无论在哪，都一定要让自己适当地喘息。

呼吸，大概是解决问题的前提之一。

Oh and we left the restaurant at 11.45pm... lucky me~ they treated me to the meal again! *整天被人家请吃... paiseh neh~* Oh and phew I caught the last 2nd or 3rd train all the way back to Lakeside, after I alighted at JE at 12.40am!

Thks to Regina for the pretty fragrance diffuser! I haven't used this b4 but would try! *definitely need one to help improve my精神~*

So tired tat I overslpt on sun morning, and oni woke up after I saw QW's sms saying that she reached Chi Garden already haha. It's her 24th bday and she wanted to try this malay food stall near my place, and I gt her a earring stand as her 24th bday gift.

The moment we reached blk498, we saw this long queue in front of "Latifah's" malay stall... 果然名不虚传! I din noe about the food there even though I've lived in the area for about 11yrs haha. The 2bucks mee rebus was pretty decent... well I would try the nasi lemak nex time!

Met up with SS and YY on weds for singing at Teo Heng. It's the 1st time the 3 of us are there together o!

Met the rest of the gals at night for dinner at Just Acia. I tried the kimchi beancurd udon soup set... with free flow drinks and ice-cream o~ mine was a bit spicy but nt bad imo.

WT came later, and when everyone was there, I surprised them with the postcards XY'd sent us over from Beijing! Everyone was happy I guess hehe.

Oh and I guess it's a "trend" for me cos it seems most of my presents exchange done since x'mas 2011 were in random orders! We抽签to decide who's to get whose present haha! *We wrote names of the scenery on our own postcards to represent ourselves on the papers.*

I gt mini postcards from YY! Everyone was saying it's juz nice I gt tat cos they all seem to know I like such stuff haha! It was a nice meet-up, juz b4 the new sem starts and when I know everyone's gonna get busy.

YQ kept on insisting tat she wanna take大头贴while all of us were on escalator lol... and after 2 failed attempts previously, the 3rd one came out above lol. *My face angle is the "不该学的榜样" when it comes to taking photos haha!*

Watched BigBang's cfs for G-Market...TOP is such a dork! I mean I enjoyed hw "lame" the concept for the 3 short cfs were, but it's kinda creative to advertise this way for online shopping. Nonetheless, they all looked great, esp TOP haha!

肩上蝶 + Pat's 23rd bday + X'mas-cum-2012 dinner at LL's place + 我可能不会爱你 + 2012 resolution!

WZ and I met up last thurs to buy cake for Pat's 23rd bday. We gt her a choco cake from Icing Rm since Pat's fav is choco... she doesn't seem to enjoy any other flavours haha. 2 of us were walking ard b4 we saw Yomenya Goemon and decided on tat for dinner.

This jap restaurant specialises in pastas, oh and well the creamy one I'd had was nt bad... but maybe nt a 2nd time to it anytime soon haha. Pat isn't a "pasta person" cos she dun like spag, so she had the corn soup one instead. We gave Pat her bday presents!

Then, we wanted to give her a mini surprise b4 WZ bring out the cake. So I asked Pat to go to the washrm with me. She agreed at 1st, but then refused after a while. *LOL! Pat真是不配合neh~ 害我和WZ紧张了一下。* Lucky we still went in the end, and on the way back, WZ needed time to light up the candles, so I had to pretend I'd "hurt my leg somehw" lol... and dragged Pat ard to look at the accessories selling juz beside the restaurant. Hmph but Pat still guessed the surprise right! *我们没有梗了啦~haha!* Anyway, wat matters is tat we all liked the cake!

We headed to PS cos Pat was looking for a 2012 planner. 3 of us sat down at Mac for awhile, and after tat Pat headed home. WZ and I continued to sit down and chat near贡茶. As usual, we'd chatted till about 11pm b4 we head hm.

LL and I met at JP on sat, and headed to LJS for lunch. KU reached a lil' later, and the 3 of us started shopping for food for steamboat later tat night! It was really packed at NTUC... I'm guessing it's due to sat being the last day of 2011? Haha. Jess came from town and joined us to do grocery shopping. Blur LL at one pt of time while she talked to me, she din even turn to see if the shopping cart behind her was ours, and she dumped our food stuff in! LOL~ she was so paiseh after KU, Jess and I laughed.

*KU... my "shoes bag" is indeed cute but nt dirty ok... the base material is similar to tat of a harvest sack de la.*

Took MRT to Yew Tee, then LL's mum told her there's no more egg at hm, so we had to buy eggs haha.By the time we reached her place, it was already 4+, 5pm I reckon? Din really rest so we quickly washed some food and laid out the dining table, well with of cos LL doing the "main chores"... like washing the veg, prawns etc... and nt to mention, she'd already prepare the sweet corn汤底for our steamboat since morning... thks!

Oh and let's meet the nephew LL hav always been proud of... Dexter! He's oni 3+mths old... cute~

KW could oni reached at night, so the 4 of us tucked in 1st! Weird I din hav any rice, 光吃料就够饱了~ *KU nw has the new nickname of "Mr fishball" cos Jess saw tat his plate was almost filled with fishball at one pt of time LOL!* And I think they know I like spinach and金针菇nw haha cos I hav quite a bit of them, esp the latter. I guess it was so丰盛tat we could nt finish them all, even KU and Jess who were hungry right from the start.

Then, we watched the TV as we waited for KW to arrive. LL shared some of her childhood pics with us too! She kept saying she'd look cuter when she's a baby lol.

KW reached at about 9.30pm finally~ And well juz as I expected, things weren't go as planned, same goes for surprises, so we had to "hurry all the procedures" a lil' since KU needs to leave too. Halfway thru KW's late dinner, LL and I decided to bring out the cake for the 2 bday gals! So here's KW's belated 19th and Jess's early 23rd:

I dunno if it was a surprise but I'm sure it was all pleasant haha! Jess and I gave KW a necklace for her 19th bday, and well hope she wears it! Jess received her presents from KU and LL too.

Then, we went into LL's dim bedrm for exchange of our x'mas gifts! So we gt it all revealed tat night! KU gave his gift to KW, KW to me, and me to KU. LL and Jess exchanged with each other haha!

And after finishing up Beard Papa's cream puff tat KW bought over, I went into LL's rm and opened up the presents... 迫不及待haha!

Big thks to LL for her 2012 diary, and KW for the chocolate, bks, christmas card and water bottle! Oh and of cos nt forgetting Trina's adorable gingerbread man soft toy!

4 of us played a few rounds of Cluedo since KW brought it all the way here from hostel. It's a rather fun game... forces me to think. *也不晓得从什么时候开始，我喜欢玩要动脑筋的游戏了lol.* 3 of us left LL's place at about 12.30am, hopped onto the bus and then MRT since it's new yr's eve... MRT service extended till 2+, 3am o.

WZ'd been recommending me to watch "我可能不会爱你", starring林依晨and陈伯霖.

又青和大仁，看似早就可以在一起，但却没有。大概因为彼此相信着“拥有就是失去的开始”，所以没有勇气爱。Oh well I agree more with Nic though... believing that曾经拥有比不曾拥有来得好，至少曾经满足了生活的某个阶段。选择当“特别的朋友”，好像折磨死他们俩了~

Ariel's one gd actress I'd hav to compliment, cos I reckon she really brought out a 30 yrs old woman's心态. *Her skin's flawless too!* As for陈伯霖, he always reminds me of彭于晏somehw. Lol~ I guess every gal would dream of a“大仁”for themselves. Yes it's gd to know someone cares for u secretly, but if this secret was for a long time, then it wouldn't be tat gd either... wasting youth isn't it? Haha.

Oh and I muz say I like the cute拿铁who played Nic... looks like a really caring guy until the "truth was exposed" in epi 3 of the drama LOL! He resembles Junyoung in Ze:A a lil' from some angles.

This is random but since it's 2012, and I placed a really pretty calendar on my laptop desk, I snapped a pic of it hehe~

Looked thru my no. of blog posts for the past yrs, and I realise I'd hav 200++ blog posts from 2008 till 2010, and oni 100 in 2011! Hmm nt tat nth's happening in my life but I think I juz cut down on the no. of postings, though each and every post is still meaningful to me in their own ways.

*I'm nt desperate for love so my love won't start tat way... it's crazy.*

My new yr resolution for 2012... I'm still studying, so I guess I can't hope to earn much $, juz pray tat I earn a lil' bit more than I spend maybe? Haha. Hmm... I think I gt inspiration from the 2 bks KW gave me... "love" and "happiness".

I hope to enjoy love and happiness, to create love and happiness for those ard me, and for myself to look up to love and happiness at any pt when I feel down in life. *Whoa... sounds philosophical? Proud of my brain LOL!*

I'm learning to take care of myself, and a lot of other things too... like maybe say pray I would learn hw to cook too in 2012? LOL~ Stay healthy and cheers to 2012 ppl!

HT's really busy a sales planner since it's yr end and so this time round for Alina's bday dinner, oni the 2 of us met up together. Alina juz permed her hair at Orchard since morning... 120bucks kinda cheap~

We headed to Itacho for dinner.

I passed Alina's 23rd bday gift to her which HT and I shared. This gal wanna wait till her actual bday (29th) b4 she opens her presents so she din get to see wat's inside... aiyah wanted so much for her to see it cos I really think she would like it and it suits her! Oh and I gt her and HT hp straps as christmas gifts too... too bad HT wasn't there to take it.

2 of us还蛮会吃的eh haha... we had quite a bit, and that total-ed up to 60bucks in all LOL! I liked the mango lobster sushi, sashimi ones, eggs, eel and fried oyster tomato udon, which Alina commented it tasted like spaghetti haha!

We were talking about her buddy and girl friend's relationship matter when suddenly she gt the craving for Selegie's beancurd. Ayden agreed to meeting us there, so the 2 of us walked there. *My stupid wedges... 中看不中用lol!* By the time we reached there and Alina already finished her beancurd and油条, Ayden called and said he couldn't find parking lots, so we decided to leave instead haha. It juz so happens tat Ayden's "gf-to-be", JW stays nearby my area, so 3 of us lombang Ayden's car, and sent me home 1st, b4 they went to meet up with JW for their chats.

*rRandom tThought: I have no patience. It drives me thinking "why am I holding on hard when things juz seem to fall apart?" many a times, and if I'm being selfish when I think "I rmb ppl cos I hope no one forgets me." Understanding oni came as an aftermath.*

Dad had been painting the living rm since sat afternoon. I gt the cupcakes from James in the afternoon, then met Jess in the afternoon and we headed to YB's place for Christmas dinner haha. Tat lady wasn't even home yet when we reached at 6+pm lor haha. *我想不管多少次，在YB家里我始终觉得尴尬，毕竟是外人嘛！*

I love the糯米饭YB's parents cooked cos the rice was really soft and yummy! Oh yeah YB couldn't wait to share the gifts she gt us after dinner!

It's NYX's eyeshadow collection... I gave Jess the priority of choosing either one since they were both wrapped up, so she ended up with the Romance series while I gt the Catwalk one haha. YB tested the new colours on us almost immediately, oh yeah and our eyes bigger looked bigger instantly haha. *Yup Jess does suit the smokey eyes look, but then she wouldn't look "innocent" anymore lol!* Seeing hw YB涂来涂去din look too diff, but somehw I think I would mess up if I were the one doing haha.
I gt YB a mustard top and a pair of earrings, while I gt Jess a book album with sticky pads too! Oh and yup they each gt another pair of earrings from me too hehe~ YB gt the owl design, while Jess gt the more淑女one lol. Jess gt me a blusher brush, and YB a Maybelline's eyeshadow set haha. *YB tried it right away and oh man did it sparkled bright!*

Michelle came in and helped us took photos with her polariod cam haha! Nice ones!

We had the cupcakes YB bought from Sophie. We tot it was kinda ex at $45 for both but then again, I liked the peanut butter one though YB's mum found them sweet. Din try the orange + cheese one since I dislike both flavours haha.

Jess left at 10+pm, while YB and I listened to songs and chatted for some time. And I tried one of her pair of wedges from Lezle which I tot was pretty! *Too bad it's OOS already... hope to come across it sometime!*

Gosh and it rained the whole day and night~ I had lotsa dreams while staying overnight at YB's place haha... so long since I had so many dreams at one go and I actualli rmb them lol! We were so lazy so woke up oni at 12+pm finally this morning lol! Had the fish burger from MOSburger tat Michelle gt for us... nice! YB and I headed down to market to get our eyebrows trimmed. I asked the auntie if my brows were messy, and she said they were juz long and needed trimming. YB tried to点痣over there too, and she said it was much more painful than plucking eyebrows haha.
*Auntie hadn't seen me in 3mths and she told me I was a lot skinnier lol! "3KG?" she asked... haha. I reckon maybe face less round, but the fat went eslewhr ba cos my weight gt nt much changes neh haha.*

Been clearing up my rm and stuffs, in hope of making space for the new yr, but it seems I am having more and more stuffs instead lol. Oh and I was busy wrapping up Christmas and bday presents too.

Met up with Alina and Alfred at Buona Vista ysd cos we'd been planning to meet up since Alfred came back from Australia. We climbed all the way up the stretch to NTU Alumni building cos he wanted to take pics lor... with his Olympus cam. *It costs $1298 neh... plus another few hundred bucks de cam bag~* Oh the photos looked really gd in it though. I'd been thinking of getting a new cam cos my current Samsung one is really bad when in night and non-flash modes, but Alfred's one is a tad too professional for my usage imo. I'm nt picky when it comes to photo-taking (angle and lighting etc), and much as I love pictures of nature (or as it is when taken), I do enjoy a lil' editing in order to "beautify" photos too haha. *This might sound cliche但我捕捉的是感觉haha!*

Alina and I paid 10bucks each for the 3-hr singing session, and Alfred paid the other $20. *For someone who could spend few hundred bucks on drinking alone... this is small case right? Hehe.* He was singing quite a bit of oldies haha... which Alina and I could hum to, but dunno hw to sing haha. *some nice songs from Vanness Wu there...* Guess both of them liked Show Luo so there were quite a number of his songs haha, and I kinda enjoyed when Alina sang Charice's "Pyramid"... nice song and that gal was high haha! *She tot I sounded a lil' like Stefanie Sun... I think声线is sth one can't alter easily leh lol.*

At the end, the 2 suddenly mentioned "Christmas gift exchange!" I was stunned la, cos I din prepare anything at all since it wasn't mentioned. Alina juz came back from Hong Kong and so she gave us a Mickey key chain each from Disneyland, and oso my 2011 X'mas gift...

Alfred gave a koala bear he bought in Australia, and a fan.

Thks a lot! Wow and I've still gt a few more gatherings coming up... can't wait!

Oh well, results for exams was out too. I used to wait till daytime b4 I check my results, but reading friends' posts on FB simply made me more gan jeong, so I think I破例, checked my results at 12+am haha.

At 1st glance, the overall grades din look too bad neh. It was until I calculated the GPA myself did I know tat... it's the lowest GPA I'd score so far! *Nt to mention, my cGPA was pulled down le la~ nw the last 3 sems are like crucial ones.* It's the 2nd sem tat I've taken all MPEs, and during my yr1 sem2, I rmb-ed I din fare tat well too. *Both sems were the oni times I gt 'B's lol.*

HC253: Definitely an average and safe score. 我曾经贪心地想过可以再好一点，但这样也ok啦... linguistics eh... a lil' diff to expect more haha.

HC204: Hmm, was hoping for a better grade so tat all my古典文学mods' results could somehw "平起平坐" u see lol.

HC303: It's the mod which I tot the paper was average, but judging from WZ's words about the results of their batch last yr tat worried me a little. Honestly, the result was wat I tot it could be, juz e.i.y.r the "-ve" shld be taken away to pull up my overall results, even if it means a mere 0.1 haha.

HC360: I've practically taken all of KD's mods, and I scored the same for all! I reckon I am lucky, or maybe KD saw efforts I put in his assignments haha? *I really spent lots of time/brain juice on his mod de assignment every time eh!* Enjoy the“玄”during his mods (ok “玄”cos我本人知识少啦~), and it's interesting reading stories and watching movies, then interpreting them. Well, intuition tells me KD's nt very strict in marking for the average students, and oni a few top students could ace his mods haha.

HC260: The grade让我有点跌眼镜啦. Besides the 1st qn in the paper, I tot I did pretty well for the others... no writer's block watsoever on exam day, except tat my hand was really tired after HC360 in the morning. *I even tot this paper was easier than HC303's!* I believe it was the ppt and report tat costed me, cos prof You's comments din sound gd at all. Oh well, I'm nt gonna dwell on this though.

Come to think of it, I shld hav将错就错all the way! Rmb the "考试形式错误" I'd done wrongly for all 4papers, yet except for HC260's. *如果继续这样，或许HC260的成绩会跟其他mods一样average/不错了... LOL... joking of cos haha.* Alright, shall work towards improving, if nt at least maintaining my grades for the rest of the sems hoho!

Written test interview at SPH + Sep Love X'mas Gathering 2011

1st time taking the circle line from Buona Vista to Bishan, then to Braddell... guess it's 10mins faster than taking the red line straight down to Braddell but I reckon there's nt much diff during rush hr, cos there's quite a bit of walking to do bet. each interchange.

Been 2yrs since I went back to SPH since LKS scholarship ceremony in 2009. I applied for internship with SPH for NTU's HPAP nex yr. It's the 4-hr written test interview today, and I was all alone in the interview rm after Eugene briefed me a lil' on the test. *lucky there were no other interviewees cos I doubt I can concentrate haha~* And the min Eugene told me to "take out my writing materials", I realised I oni bring one pen there hehe.

Hmm the test for interns was rather ok I tot? 1st, there was a命题作文, and honestly loads of pts came to mind since the qns was rather big, and I had to arrange them properly, deciding wat pts to write etc. I finished the 1.5K essay in about 2hrs, and towards the end I really din get wat I was writing already haha. Then, there were填充and editing of grammar and punctuation etc... was a bit confused while doing but hopefully I did right haha. Last part was translation of a news article from Eng to Chi, and it was one whole article lol! I din take any translation mods in NTU, and man was I lucky I din take cos I realise I definitely need time to re-arrange my ideas and translations into proper, grammatically-right sentences, so translation exams would most prob. drive me mad lol. *Plus, I am rather bad with numbers... fumbling over hw to translate "$6.5 billion" into chi neh lol.*

So, I reckon my qn 3 was even messier than qn 1. Had enough time to check thru my work again, and finally handed it in to Eugene at 6pm lol.

*Nt worried about the results, wat worries me more is the face-to-face interview.*

LX came back to SPH's office too, so both of us went down to Novena together to meet Sep Love! We had dinner at this korean restaurant at Novena, recommended by Joy, which was quite gd imo.

The place is almost full house lor. The chicken meat was tender and nice, and we enjoyed the rice and noodle too! I liked the spicy soup, kimchi and金针菇too. There's this sweet drink tat tasted nice too... but Pat and I oni had 1 glass each, then the whole bucket by the side was already gone liao haha.

Think 3 of us oni had 2-3 rounds of food and we were full haha! The service was kinda gd, cos the waiters kept on coming over to help change the aluminium foil, which gt burnt rather easily. And when XN came over late, WZ and Pat kept on putting food on her plate, and it was always full b4 XN knew it every time she turned away haha! Anyway, it was oni $24.20 per person for dinner... could actualli eat till the shop closes o!

*I seriously reek of BBQ smell all over lol~ and my tummies literally bigger nw cos I'm too full!*

Then, we headed over to Coffee Bean for our gift exchange!

8 of us prepared a gift each, and took photos with our own presents b4 giving them away~

We were thinking hw to reveal whoever's present each person actualli gt, and so I suggested we could give hints to let ppl guess who was supposed to get the出题人's gift.

And so nw let's see whoever gt whose present!

Oh and since it was down to 3 gals on my left (Bel, XN and Pat), who were without any presents, and 3 other on my right (LX, JS and Joy) who has yet to give out their presents... so we decided to do a grp guess. After the hints were given, Bel, XN and Pat were supposed to shake the hands of either LX, JS or Joy whom they think gt their presents. 场面是这样的...

结果是以下的... hehe~

They all guessed right! Clever gals haha.

Oh come to think of it, I guess we were all laughing and enjoying ourselves so much so that suddenly, there's this nice angmoh guy (XN said he sounds like Australian) who came over. We tot he wanted to tell us to lower our vol since we were damn loud, b4 he fluently explained he tot it wouldn't be nice if 8 of us couldn't take a grp pic together, so he volunteered to help us take pics!

He even volunteered to take a 2nd pic cos he tot the latter's backgrd looked nicer haha. Wished us a "Merry Christmas!" b4 he left. Friendly caucasian, and yeah it feels gd to hav strangers greet u warmly!
Found out tat Bel's into K-Pop nw! Yes~ can find another friend to watch korean shows together with me nw haha!

XN's xmas gift for me... I love this! 喜欢上“木的味道”, I know this sounds weird but I juz do haha. Sep Love gathering this time was a gd one!

*Been watching random episodes of "Running Man"... the one in Thailand with Nich Khun, "Hip-Hop" epi with Tiger JK etc, and the epi whr all the other Running Man hosts set Gary up into thinking he was the spy of tat epi... couldn't ctrl my laughter la!*

"与时尚同居" stars Vic and Vivian.

Juz find the way Vic speaks cute haha. 当然，他的演技也真的越来越赞！Storyline was average for me, but Vic and Vivian were bonus attractions in the movie, esp Vic lol!

Accompanied YB to AMK for her manicure session on sun. Kim spent 2+hrs doing YB's Xmas-themed nails... $58 in all and YB said it's considered cheap. She's trying to persuade me into doing my nails too but I juz tot my nails atm are juz way too short to bring out the beauty even if "creatively-manicured" haha! Shall juz stick to my simple nail polishing for nw... would do so when I start working ba haha. Then, we headed to Lezle's stall at *Scape bazaar cos YB wanted to collect her knitted top. We took bus 7 home cos it was pouring really heavily.

Met Esther at Bugis Street today, and b4 she reached I went in to shop for X'Mas gifts. *So tempted to get new shoes and clothes but e.i.y.r... muz ctrl!* And it's the 1st time I went up the 3rd storey there, and happened to go into this shop named "Esther" haha... bought my 2012 calendar there! The lady boss was kinda gd at talking la, and since I loved the design as well, I spent 10bucks on this!

Oh and it's been really long since I bought myself new earrings, so I gt a few pairs!

Esther came along and we shopped for a while more b4 heading to Cine Cathay for our movie date, "一泡而红" together with Shirlyn!

Esther was friggin' crazy over Alien Huang in the show LOL! A simple story of a Malaysian village gal pursuing her dream of being an actress, and hw she came to SG and met Taiwanese coffee-boy. Thumbs up to Michelle for her directing and acting, esp her malaysian accent made her looked like one literally haha.

Many local artistes could be seen inside, like David Gan, Jamie Yeo, Cynthia Koh, Bryan Wong, Li Teng, Pornsak etc.

The love line was a bit too plain I tot, but since it's nt exactly the main story concern, so I reckon Alien being named as "male lead" was a bit... 互相沾光? Maybe. But I think the casting of Alien was a suitable choice, cos he doesn't exude any "星味" at all once dressed down haha~ *Can u imagine ppl like Takeshi Kaneshiro/Wu Chun as coffee boy!?* Yet when Alien smiles, u hear fangirls like Esther go "ga-ga" in the theatre cos there's this boyish charm about Alien imo.

*Esther asked hw I would react if a guy were to confess like the coffee-boy did to阿娇 “你可以当我生命中的女主角...”, I told her I would LOL! Erm, like seriously LOL!*

It's kinda a record in my life, for having sung like 3 days in a row, and all at KBox at Scape, in rm no. 11 somemore! *Shld go buy Toto liao~* After the 1st session with YB and Ben on sun, I went on to sing with LL and KW on mon... $10.50 per person using online booking... cheap o. *took bus 111, switched 185 to market to get my fan... 1.5hrs sia... super slpy~*

This morning was the reg day for my mods for the coming sem. I was so happy when the system opened, and damn when I clicked on the "add course button", the whole website hung, and the new page juz won't load. I had no idea if the mods were added, and I couldn't wait any further so I refreshed the whole page... din get any mods registered la! A bit frustrated as I re-did my timetable and I did added the mods, but couldn't get the desired tut timings I planned. And lucky Mich swopped her HC261's tut timing with me, if nt I can't add BS8005 on my UE waiting list. *Appeal etc shall wait till sch starts...*

After tuition with Olivia and Dorothy, took bus 7 down to Orchard and met up with Pat and WZ for singing again! Pat used her 40bucks voucher for the whole session, and we added a bowl of wantons too hehe. The 2 gals haven sang for some time, while I juz did the previous 2 days, so I guess I sang loads of songs liao haha. They actualli allowed us to sing for about 4hrs... nt bad le la.

Had dinner at Cine food court, and I kinda liked the tom yam seafood soup set haha... liked the Red Ruby dessert though WZ din haha.

Juz finished watching 12 episodes of "2PM Show", a variety show featuring them.

Some of the screenshots of the show I gt online. Kinda enjoyed 2PM's liveliness in there, though sometimes they do look to tired. The games were quite entertaining... can vividly rmb the one by the pool whr they kept flying off into the pool, esp Taecyeon... hilarious LOL! I was LOL-ing non-stop la haha. Junsu's the crazy "grandpa", and I reckon NichKhun does hav小聪明here and there... cute o!

My fri, sat and sun!

Fri: Met Pat and WZ, and initially wanted to recommend them to Real Food, but WZ is a "meat person" u see, so ended up having bah chor mee instead LOL.

We chatted for quite some time in BK. Was talking about hw "settled" Pat's life is nw haha... happy for her. Then, we took some photos along Clarke Quay as we were window shopping at the Bazaar.

Pat left in the evening, and so WZ and I headed and had bah kut teh for dinner. Saw this "Master Khor" palmistry stall, and I reckon it's the one MT and WT did in sch... but it's so ex la... $25 per person for a 5-10mins fortune-telling. Din do it and so we ended up chatting while sitting by the river... nice chat.

Sat: Met LL at PS while I gt the gift for exchange with Sep Love on our X'Mas gathering later on. Walked all the way to Orchard and met up with KW and Jess for dinner at Waraku!

Tried the Prawn soup pasta for the 1st time, and the sight of it tells of "laksa" immediately leh lol. Nt bad though. The pizza was gd!

Oh and of cos, we drew lots for our X'Mas gift exchange on 31st Dec! KW was writing the names and I was trying to make fun haha~

Sun: YS and HA couldn't make it to KBox at Scape last min, so it was oni YB, Ben and I for the 3hrs of singing session. Costed us $13+ on a wkend~ okie o.

The rm was rather small eh. So long since we 3 sang together, so it was a nice and fun session hehe. Ben's loud as ever, while YB's as soft as usual la haha. Oh I tried some new songs nv b4 sung in KBox... gd!

Jess and PH joined us, and we went to鼎太丰at Paragon for dinner! *James couldn't last min.* I had the fried rice with prawns but the rice was a bit too "sticky" for me, so it was so-so for me. 小笼包is heavenly though~

After dinner, Ben initially wanted to treat us to dessert at "Big-O", but since they already dun sell the dessert Ben wanted to eat, we went to Canele instead. *Trivial matter but it was kind of awkward... din noe wat to say haha.*

Jess and YB had the wild honey tea(?)... rather fragrant. PH and them had the cheesecake... okie la cheese was there so if I were eating, I'd hope for tat layer of cheese to vanish lol. My Matcha was nice~ PH said they added lotsa milk (which happens to be my fav)... sweet o. Ben had the Citrus dessert which sour imo.We were playing with the voice-recording program in Ben and YB's iPhone 4S too... so stupid forcing myself to speak standard Eng... oh and my French pronounication "fail" sia LOL.

It's near X'Mas so we took some photos along Orchard b4 heading home.

It's been rather long since I met up with Alina... the last was during HT's bday this Jun. HT couldn't turn up last min due to her work, so 2 of us went to Real Food at the basement of Central... decided to go after I saw LZ and her hubby went there. The ambience was gd.

We were famished, so din really go ard browsing at the books available there haha. I liked the decor... pretty down-to-earth. We were looking thru the menu and honestly, I had no idea wat to eat. Wanted to try the pasta at 1st but somehw all the types were paired with some veggies tat I dislike (celery, french bean etc), so din order in the end. Turned my attention to the rice section, and decided on my fried brown rice, with pineapples, tomatoes and other veggies in bits and pieces.

The fried rice was gd, and the apple juice I had was compatible with the taste too... din spoil the overall taste. Alina had the dumpling noodle soup below, and man I loved the dumpling cos I could taste shrooms all over in my mouth the min I sunk my teeth into the dumpling haha~

The fruit rojak with plum sauce很开胃... shld hav eaten it b4 the main dish lol. All in all, it costed us $16 each, with no GST nor service charge o!

Then, we planned to go Liang Court for dessert, and the min we stepped out of Central mall, we saw bubbles flying all over haha!

Well, Alina insisted tat she din want to take any photos, so I took instead haha. *看见泡泡，会想到童年eh!*
Had custard and milk pudding tat Alina recommended from Tampopo Deli... $6.60. Finished the milk pudding... nice! We chatted for a while b4 gg home. Alina's gt to work the nex day... jiayou gal! *感谢会聆听、会分享的朋友……真讨厌每次时间一眨眼就过去了。*

Ate the custard one as I watched "In Time" hehe.

I was thinking... "time is money" literally, while watching. But no, time was everything.

Interesting concept though the storyline was so-so... typical劫富济贫plot. Amanda Seyfried's hairstyle reminded me of the female cyborg in the movie "My Girlfriend is a Cyborg" haha.

Gt a short-term tuition conversational mandarin assignment with Olivia and Dorothy, 2 Korean gals for the mth of Dec. Conversational mandarin may or may nt be easier to teach than local students I reckon. Guess the diff thing is tat being foreigners, they hav more queries on the basics of the lang (linguistics) itself rather than hw to understand the more complex lvl of Chi haha.
And as usual, I resumed tuition with Samantha, and maybe Tammy too soon. But right nw, I'm contemplating whether or nt to take up another daily temp job... cos I simply can't tahan "resting even a lil' more"... 真是不会享受life lol.

Well, caught 贺军翔and王心凌's tw drama, "美乐加油".

我只看了主角之间这主线故事，其他的“支线”都跳过lol... since they dun attract me. Mike He's gt a certain charisma tat I find "irresistable"... 那种霸道的角色somehw suits him very well eh haha. Cyndi... okie la she's nt tat overly cute though, she suited her role too.

本来是大嫂，却成了女友，故事发展得有些快，yet if nt it'd be too draggy since the story plot's rather simple. 张伦硕 (the 3rd guy who likes美乐) does look like混血儿... gt really nice brows and eyes haha.

像韩以烈这种即霸道、挑剔又温柔、可爱的男生，存在哦？Lol.

Met PH at Marina Square after her work for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn part1".

I was looking forward to more action scenes, even though I knew this whole part of the stories gonna be focused on Edward and Bella's marriage, honeymoon and childbirth process.

Kirsten Stewarts' got a nice figure! And the part whr Renesmee "sucked the life out of her" during pregnancy and Bella's supposed to look really weak, I tot the make-up was well-done.Jacob still cracked a lil' joke here and there with his appearance imo.

Rather "prettily plain" on the storyline, but nice songs in the movie though.

Met with QW and her sis outside indoor stadium, and collected our lightsticks, cds and posters for "TVXQ Asia Fan Party 2011" on sun! Dang the queue was super long and we almost went 1/3 round the stadium juz for the queue lor haha. Went in at about 7.10pm.

Weird hw come the securities dun allow fancam inside... and they actually went ard catching ppl who film or take photos lor! *Mich was caught too!*

DBSK opened up with "Maximum" omg... super hot! I think both looked really gd in person but my eyes were "glued" on U-Know la haha.

The host was ok but I tot the questions asked by the fans被过滤太过了la! They sounded so "official" la... like media reporters asking boring qns eh. Yeah I know fan parties meant tat there's gonna be fan-asking qns, but since it all sounded so boring, I pretty much prefer performances... though the 2 looked rather tired too. Oh but there's a segment whr they showed 2 vids of fan-made vids... sweet though. DBSK looked like they enjoyed it.

Anyway, they sang "How Can I"... flawless! Other songs like "Rising Sun", "Keep Ur Head Down", "Before U Go" etc were simply a perfect combi of vocals and dances! They sounded so much like listening to CD la... juz tat we knew it was live singing cos we can literally hear them breathing heavily into their mics after each performance haha.

The whole fan party lasted for nearly 2hrs as planned... but honestly, minus the vid parts... it's oni 1hr ba!? Overall, I enjoyed their performances but no surprises. Maybe it's the lang barrier? SM's censorship prob? DBSK were tired? Watever the reason, I dun deny the fact tat the duo were professional as artistes. Thumbs up.

Watched "One Day" at night.

Wat, if u dreamt of ur future in a day, and u knew u're gonna regret staying best friends?

Lucky dream cos it could change everything.

Oh and Jim Sturgess is gd-looking.

Uni clique BBQ gatherin cum YQ's 21st bday + 那些年，我们一起追的女孩

Met up with SS, YY and Mich and we went to JP to buy the board for making YQ's bday card, and BBQ stuffs required. WT and MT helped to take the food ordered, while LC came over to join us after her last paper ended in the afternoon on fri. SS was busy designing YQ's card, Mich helping her, MT was really gd at setting up the charcoal and fire, while WT and I were putting up the decors at the place. All of us wore green, and each of us took a polariod of ourselves with YQ's "gaga glasses" in it o~ Stuck the polariods onto the board we made for YQ!

YQ came oni in the evening! She was surprised to noe tat we're celebrating her early 21st bday with her lo! I made her wear the 21st bday banner on her, and we went cake-cutting and took pics while BBQ-ing too! So busy neh~

YQ loves the glasses a lot... she was almost showing off the whole night lol... "gaga YQ" lol! While MT, SS and YY were busy cooking the food for us, YQ was sharing stories of her and her bro with us... funny sibling haha. WT, SS and I went to Fairprice nearby to get margarine at 1st cos we din buy tat earlier. Then halfway thru, they ran out of charcoal... so LC and I headed back to the area to get charcoal and starter... phew we found a shop with one! *6KGs of charcoal gone in 1 night haha~*

Then, I started the game which YQ had to collect 5hints (supposedly 7 though~), in exchange for her present. Clues like "Go green", "Sofy", "Above U", "U" were given to her... wanted to include "Splash" but she couldn't go into water eiyr!

After collecting all 5hints, we gave her her long-awaited Esprit bag!

We're all happy thruout, having nice chats cos it's been really long since we really gather together. Time flies fast and soon it was 10pm, the security was there to hurry us to clear up the place... din even gt the chance to do jacuzzi neh! MT and SS grabbed their chance to soak their feet in the water b4 we left Mich's condo!

It's been 3yrs of friendship bet. us and even the youngest YQ in our grp is officially "an adult" nw haha. XY's in Beijing currently, but no worries gal, we're forever 9!

Met up with WZ on sat afternoon at Bugis V since she wanted to get berms for her bro. *Both of us wore checkered tops coincidentally haha~* Then, we sat down at J.Co for our usual hrs of chat haha... everything feels much better after the exams haha! So cool we can nv get tired of chatting, even though we noe we tend to go about the same old topics all the time, but it nv feels boring hehe.

Met Jess at PS and we had Jap food for dinner. She's actualli working like 7days!? But well doing cup cakes is her interest mah... oni 1st day today... gd luck o!

We went to catch "那些年，我们一起追的女孩"tat many ard me are raving about this period of time.

Honestly, 柯震东dun look gd in the beginning, so I was a bit shocked WZ told me he looked gd. But slowly into the movie, Jess and I began to think he does look gd... after changing many hairstyles la haha. 陈妍希suited the role of a role model student well. 九把刀写出高中生同追一个心仪女孩的过往，笑过也哭过。感觉很typical but this shld be why it appears to be close/similar to me and your life stories.

*But“黄色”的部分占好多……真实哦？Haha.*

Muz be the many ppl ard me talking about it, and sharing their past stories/comments related to this movie, so much so tat I can't help but to link my younger sch yrs with this... 绝对不等同，但似乎又能勾连。 Nostalgic. I esp liked wat沈佳宜said: "There's no 'in-return' for some things we do."

'd been mugging for the last 3 papers, which run consecutive in 2days... from ysd till this afternoon. Lost a bit of the "study momentum" cos the break in bet. was rather long u see. 偏偏HC303 had to be the kind of topic I'd nv taken an exam b4... Southeast Asian Chi. Anyway, the qns turned out to be the kind I expected, so it's an average paper.

Had HC360 paper this morning. It's an open-bk exam, and seriously being sandwiched bet. HC303 and HC260, I somehw oni wrote notes for this, and din really bothered to understand fully on all the stories and movies. The min I went to my desk, I saw a "good luck" writing on the piece of paper with our register nos. on it... I tot it was KD who wrote tat at 1st, so I looked over to ZJ's table and realised oni mine had it... lol... the person who wrote it muz be so happy after his/her last paper lol! Well, dun think the "gd luck" worked leh... the qn I hoped nt to come out came out omg~ Besides the必答题, I honestly crapped halfway thru the rest of the 2 qns... pray hard I gt some sense in my ans.

Oh and for the 1st time in my life, I think I hav been making a "stupid/serious/solemn" (I don't know u guys decide) mistake thruout exams this sem! *I seriously reckon I've done the same things b4 in past yr exams lol~* It was oni when KD collected my ans script and he sorta exclaimed "Whoa... gave urself own marks somemore!", did it "wake me up", tat I'd been filling the "mark column" on the cover pg with qns nos., and nt "circling the qn no. attempted" but "no. of qns attempted"! I hav been doing this thru-out since HC253, HC204, HC303 and nw HC360! OMG~ 我可以再不小心一点! And well if I made the same mistakes b4 in previous exams, I bet those chers who marked my papers muz hav recognised my student no. by nw lol. *lucky I din do it for HC260 too... if nt prof You would know the same student kept making the same mistakes twice after he marked my HC303 as well~* Mich told me Prof Liu mentioned about some争执bet. him and the 2nd marker about这种形式化的东西. I'm hoping I won't be penalised la... I mean exams mah, students are too hard-pressed for time while doing and kinda stressed to take note of such small things at times mah. Well, I would try to remind myself to be extra careful even in such admin matters in future, but who noes? I might forget again nex sem aiyoh...

HC260's qns were predictable, since prof already hinted b4 exams. I reckon it shldn't be diff to get a usual grade, but I'm hoping for better haha. So well, 5papers down and it's the end of this sem, oni left with results. On a side note, I would go down to seeing wat mods are available nex sem these few days... MPEs dun look appealing, hopefully UEs are.

Anyway, was watching Wong Fu Productions MV made for Lee Hom's new song "依然爱你". Lee Hom is omg super duper gd-looking eh... why is it he's looking better as he ages huh? 果然是男人的魅力lol~

Liked the concept of the MV... sweet. Phils and Wesley were funny while filming this MV in Taiwan... oh Wes's a cutie too lol. I am enjoying watching Wong Fu Productions' vids cos they're a rather talented trio!

I'd been cooped up at home since LZ's wedding I guess? Busy writing notes and revising for my exams. HC253 was the 1st paper last fri morning. Exam venue was at hall 8's function rm... kinda weird a location uh? Honestly, Linguistics hasn't been my forte all along, and the reason why I took up HC253 was cos I'm interested in the varieties of Chinese/mandarin spoken in Asia. Indeed, the mod was intriguing but I sort of had no clue of wat to study for exam cos everything seemed like daily life stuff... thus it's nt tat easy when u hav to explain "daily stuff using theories/logics". Well still the paper's over b4 I realise it... and it's an average paper... although I reckon I might get a grade below my expectation. Went for lunch at Clementi MacDonalds with MT... had a gd chat there haha.

Juz today HC204's paper's over in the afternoon! Hmm an average paper as well... though I'm much better prepared for this lol... lit's forever easier for me, as compared to linguistics' papers. Might fare "the-usual-average" for me, though I wish for it to be better la!
Oh and I headed straight for Clementi to buy MINA, as well as green tea macchiaato(?) from KOI... mum enjoys it lor haha!

*9 more days to my nex paper, HC303... trying hard to tell myself to at least finish writing notes for HC360 and HC260 these few days.*

I admit tat I am studious (to a certain extent la haha~), but while in the midst of revising, I took breaks in bet. to think of other, random stuffs. Happen tat these were in relation to family and friends, and I'd been thinking about them the past few days.

The reason I pray, is for them to stay, safe and sound. I won't deny the fact tat even minor things worry me much when it comes to my love ones.

12/11/11: Emceeing EF and LZ's wedding luncheon at Noble House

I'd been rehearsing to myself the day b4 prior to LZ's wedding luncheon today. Woke up at 8am this morning, and met WZ at Tanjong Pagar at 10+am. We walked to the UIC Building... a rather old building, and I heard tat they're gonna tear the place down after nov.

Din expect to see tat many ppl (mainly LZ's sisters at the reception) when we reached, and it was a lil' diff from William's wedding last time cos we dun exactly hav the chance to go on stage and rehearse once b4 the event start, though it isn't much of a prob anyway haha.

Noble House restaurant有那种oldies的建筑风格... pretty gd.

Saw Lynette, Judy, Catherine, Molly, Trina, YH and Dorothy. They were all seated at a diff table from me lol... WZ and I were seated with LZ's sec sch classmates, of which some were her "sisters".

Basically 2 of us met with Tony and Tommy, the operations staff over there, and did a brief runthru of the programme, and we saw EF's bro too. He's the coordinator, and we can see tat he hopes to do the whole thing well for his bro. Even Tony was praising saying it's the 1st time a coordinator does the thing better than the programer haha. Tony briefed us well thruout too... and it really teaches me sth: even though the whole hosting process is less than 20mins, there are still quite a bit of details to take care of in order for everything to run smooth. *1st time I knew the wedding cake is "fake" haha... Tony was demonstrating to us when he cut lol!*

Took some pics of ourselves while I did a bit of touch-up on my blush and gloss. *It's nt often u see me dress this way neh haha!*

Was feeling rather nervous when I saw the place starting to get filled up with guests lol. Tommy gave us the cue at about 1.10pm (on time leh~) and 2 of us headed to the podium. Lucky we could stand behind the podium, so basically I could see the piece of script (even though I already gt it memorised la) in front of me. I think I was so nervous I din really see Tommy "cued" us from the back of the hall lor haha... WZ told me le then I started my speech haha!

EF and LZ walked down the aisle twice, and somehw I felt the timing was a bit long for both... WZ and I of cos did tried to say things to "cover up the silence" but I think I myself could hav done better somehw haha...临场发挥真不容易啊！*Lucky I gt WZ beside me haha... having someone as a partner definitely helps!*

It was longer than usual for the waiting time till our 2nd time onstage. Maybe LZ took some time to wear her second gown? It was oni after the 4th dish did Tommy cue us to go up. They played a childhood montage of EF and LZ's, then we invited the couple onstage for toasting. Both WZ and I tot EF did a gd work in his speech... could seeing him trying his best! *I rmb myself "spurring" him on while he tried very hard to pop open the champagne... I tot my reaction there was nt bad eh!* Oh and then it came to the toasting ceremony whrby we had to invite the family and friends up, and I guess it's rather normal for ppl to be moving slower, since they juz gt up from their seats haha. I din realise there were still ppl coming up the stage and already began to say my speech lol... so I repeated again after making sure all were onstage. *EF's bro literally screamed "Yum Seng" loud there neh haha!* After everything, Tommy din cue us for our 3rd time onstage, which was near a farewell speech to the guests. We saw that many were already leaving, so WZ and I went up ourselves and thk-ed them b4 all left la haha... sadly, no one "bothered" about us haha~ but aiyah it's normal since they were leaving haha.

Dorothy, Trina, Molly and I went upfront to take pics on the stage haha. Oh and EF rmb-ed to give WZ and I angpow b4 we left haha! *They were generous, really thk u EF and LZ!* WZ and I gt them little gifts in exchange... mine was a pair of cute stuff toy... fishes, while WZ gt them couple cups.

I hope both of us hav been up to their expectations as hosts. LZ did told us their families were happy with our performance haha~ relieved! The whole wedding luncheon ended b4 4pm, and then I headed to WZ's house.

Chatted for a while and flipped thru her photo albums b4 we left for Bugis for dinner. Oh saw James and YL at J.Co too... coincidence since they were there for JC class gathering... Sohpie and YL's class. And I saw Lynn at Watsons too and pointed it out to Lynn haha... so we were saying hw gd I am at rmb-ing faces... which I think I really am.

I was nv a fan of iPhone, still ain't nw. Watched this 1-hr documentary on Steve Jobs, focused on his accomplishments since the day in Apple. *suddenly recalls the 1984 Macintosh commercial ad KD put up on FB* He's one genius, making complicated things look as simple, like an iPod, iPhone and iPad. Without his idea of a computer, whr would Apple be? His ability to revamp, repackage, and re-sell the idea of technology is a boon for millions of Apple users today.

Sure enough, u need to be tough and determined to succeed. He did, and he was such a workaholic, according to the interviewees on the show. Somehw, Jobs reminded me of MM Lee, who's arguably dominating and forceful as a leader, yet laid a nation's solid foundation to success.

We can't hav the best of both worlds. So, Jobs made his career strong, and even influential.

2D1N stay at MBS!

Mum's a member of the Premier Club of Marina Bays Sand resort. They offered her a 2D1N stay over at MBS, and after much arrangment with the hotel side, I managed to fixed our stay on 8th Nov, and gt MT, SS and WZ along too. Gt no sch ysd, so mum and I headed to MBS early afternoon. Could check-in at 3pm, and we gt our rm on the 30th flr at tower 2... 3067 haha. *Dang the lift is fast, and the pressure was a little terrifying at 1st.* It was kinda stupid but since this was our 1st time staying over at MBS, mum and I went into the lift, knowing we had to insert our door card for the lift to move to 30th flr, but somehw it din really worked... so at 1st the 2 of us "blur blur" allowed the lift to carry us up to watever flr there were ppl waiting for lift. Then, this kind Jap guy *I assume* sort of比手划脚to us cos he saw tat we din really noe hw to use our card lol.

The premier rm's nt exactly huge but comfy enough for us. And I think the big washrm caught our attention right at the start~ esp with the white bathtub there.

The fridge was amazing leh... can "auto" debit from ur acct if u take anything anway from there haha. Cos later we bought cakes and need to put into fridge, and we asked the staff if we could place them in, but the person suggested we request for a free portable fridge instead... lucky we'd asked. *The drinks very ex neh.*

Mum was lazing in bed watching her Taiwan drama on channel 8. Our bedrm ain't the one with city view, but still it's kinda pretty, esp at night.

Then, she wanted to go up to the Sky Park. Dang the weather was really hot then, though still windy up there.

It was rather warm. Nt too many ppl since it's a tues, so we took a few pics. Told mum to lie down and snapped a pic of her~ love it cos she looks so悠哉! Mine? 笑容都僵硬lo~

Went back to our rm and enjoyed the air-con while waiting for MT and WZ to reach. The 2 gals came one after another. Mum wants to leave at 5.30pm, so after 4 of us took a glance of the Sky Park together, we left to find the SweetChoc cake shop mum was searching for, she treated us to some cakes from there and left for home.

Headed over to MBS shopping mall and found SS sitting at the foodcourt, waiting for us. Had tom yam mee hoon kuey for dinner cos I was craving for it... man it was spicy! *stomach din feel well whole night cos of it I think...* Went a big round looking for 7-11 in the big mall, and got myself some melon tea from贡茶b4 gg back. *SS was all excited about gg to Sky Park!*

My stupid cam couldn't take even one nice night scene pic, so I gop-ed the above pics from WZ hehe... at least hers were decent. It's nt my 1st time up there anyway, so the scenes din fascinate me a lot, but still it's incredible hw pretty SG looks up from there! *There was even a wedding couple doing their shoots up there neh!*

SS almost "flew straight onto our beds" when she went into our rm haha! Too bad she din stay over. 4 of us took some silly pics, b4 SS leaves, and the rest of us to go for sauna. *Din go in the end anyway cos the person-in-charge tot no one esle was gonna go for sauna at 10pm, so she'd asked the technician to go and fix the rms already... aiyoh nt oni us lor... 2 other Korean gals wanted to do too... and the lady told us to go back at 5am the nex morning OMG!*

3 of us took turns to bathe at night. Haha enjoyed it but lol, the flr was real wet after MT bathed lol.

We caught 1 epi of "法政先锋III" at midnight, while enjoying the yummy cakes mum treated us to!

Loved the raspberry one when I had it in the morning, tasted esp nice dunno y haha. WZ and I agreed the milk and vanilla one was delicious too... the texture reminds us of a strudel-alike.

3 of us chatted in the middle of the night, and since MT had alcohol... she fell aslp at about 3+am, while WZ and I continued chatting... at 1st she wanted to leave at 2.30am, but then HTHT's so addictive u see, and we chatted right up to 6am in the morning! OMG~ I had oni 2hrs to slp as planned initially, while WZ's dad came to pick her up from MBS.
Morning sun rose real fast like none of my business, mum called me to wake me up too. I think MT was still in her la-la land and she kept telling me it was oni 8.30am when it was already 9.30am haha. HC253's lec at 11.30am, and since we're gonna be late, we decided to skip it haha. Oh, and it was the 1st time I took circle line from Promenade to Paya Lebar, and then all the way home juz nw.

SMRT 2011 Poetry Anthology + PASSION Walkathon

Met up with LL last sat and we went to the Big Steps at SMU for SMRT MovingWords' poetry event. It's supposedly a poetry competition and they'd selected 100 poems out of 2K+ submissions, gathered and published into an anthology. I gt my copy of it at the event, and the person was saying she'd saw my names a lot of times lol!

The 12 finalists were invited up onstage to read their poems, and I think I liked this uncle's reading... he sounded passionate. Among others were some already established poets, songwriters, translators etc... so cool.

Oh well, I was flipping thru the bk, reading all 4 of my poems hehe... feels kinda happy though they might nt be the best. Ok let me reveal wat I can rmb wat exactly was the idea behind these 4 poems...

I wrote this as an assignment for HC312 initially. I think I gt the inspiration from a pic, and disasters tat were happening all ard the world in our times. I was picturing a boy holding on to his light of hope in the midst of a disaster tat occured... all's predestined... try reading it from bottom to top... I guess one could see the预谋I was saying then?

Wrote this last time using a DBSK wallpaper, ard the period of their disbandment. But nonetheless, do see this as an escape from summer. I somewat felt a tinge of "bounciness" in the words haha.

Tried to be humourous here but I dunno if it worked? It's a poem about growing up yrs.

Inspiration was from Hero's movie“天国的邮递员”. *KU, the“你”refers to Hero in the movie if u wanna noe lol!* 最简单易懂的了吧, when I showed the poems to LL, KU and Jess. 是通俗，但其中那个圈圈谁没踏进去过？说不定有些人还困在里面出不来呢！

Did my own translations for my poems as requested, but I tot most of the translations were nt up to standard, so din take pic at all lol. Anyway, the bk's being sold at $21.40 in bookstores... kinda ex hor? Haha. *To think I'd been keeping the letters from poetry.com and kept dreaming of having my poems published in books one day... kinda came true nw!*

LL and I had late lunch at日本村at The Cathay.

Haven't been tat full in a long time, I actualli couldn't finish the rice neh haha. Nt bad a meal though.

2 of us met KU and Jess at Promenade, and we headed to PASSION's starting pt near the SG Flyer area. *Everyone's wearing the same outfit... haha.*

Weather's gd which I felt we were lucky cos it'd been raining for the past 1 wk. Oh and we saw the famous "Mr Yam Ah Mee" there too... he looks a bit buffed up for his age o. 4 of us were busy snapping pics along the way, b4 the start... talking about my poems, LZ's wedding etc.

I enjoy those sneaky shots of LL's haha! *She think she'd snapped me, but din noe I'd took hers too~ HAHA!* After some cheering up, it was about 630pm and the walk flagged off! Huge crowd sia~

4km, and we passed the Helix Bridge and walked one big round b4 getting back to the same pt at the end. Took us slightly more than 2hrs cos we were busy taking pics, resting for a while, watching some performances b4 the Marina Bay Sands mall and well strolling back haha.

I tot the "ice-cream" say motivated me to walk till the finish line ba lol~ *Both Jess and I只听重点lol~* KU saw tat LL was in pain along the way, so we did sat down for a lil' while. It was nt until later when I asked LL did she reveal tat her legs hurt, and tat she experienced chest pain too. *敞开心房一直是我希望朋友之间要做到的，如果做不到，那我永远只是徘徊你门前的陌生人罢了。* Oh and the red bean ice-cream was sweet!

We went to the foodcourt near SG Flyer for late dinner, and had satays, 五香blah, fishball soup and叮叮糖hehe. There was a "Ghost house" for Halloween juz right behind us, and we could literally hear ppl screaming their lives away, so I shared some stories with them too. Then, LL shared hers too. *Jess ah... shan't mention about hers... so "lame" lol.*

Oh U-Kiss's live rendition "Someday" blown me away! I loved hw all the members sang so well in the performance below! Soo Hyun's voice is my bias hehe.

My 23rd Bday dinner with NCSS friends + Dad's Bday dinner!

*Mum said if someone whom u know but are distant in real life, yet appeared to be close with u in dreams, it meant tat the other party's thinking about u. Lol~ I can't help but laughed haha.*

B4 I step up to rush thru HC303's ppt, I reckon I shld "calm myself down" and reflect on my 23rd bday. *It's a special day for me, so I ought to prioritize it.*

Met up with Jess, LL and KU on fri evening at City hall and we headed to timbre at Arts House for my bday dinner haha! *Oh and XY called me 3,4 times from Beijing and yet I missed her call! No wonder the no. looked weird!*

I bought my own cam to take pics, and LL used her new acer andriod phone to take pics for us as well... but honestly hor, her phone's flash was super duper bright! KU and I were caught off-guard at 1st and when the flash came on, u see both of us couldn't stand the glaring lights... we were laughing away lol. *LL, ur phone pics came out dark eh... all of them... so the flash proved otherwise lol!*

Jess loved the white baits a lot... kept on munching it. The buffalo wings were kinda spicy for me, and the tiger prawns were ok... juz a tinge of bitterness I reckon. LL and KU had beer la, Jess had this mango sunrise(?) which had higher alcoholic content than mine... whoa her face went red very fast neh lol!

KW came over after her driving lesson, and then gave me my very 1st present for the night~ bracelet from her and KU.

I wore it for the rest of the night of cos haha! Then, LL started grumbling about her big bag and then suddenly out came Regina's present! She mentioned Regina'd passed it to her when they met for lunch earlier. It's a pair of earring from Ralph Lauren and a ladies' bag from Old Navy!

Love them, and big thks to LL for bringing it over... tat "grumpy woman" lol. And juz when I tot things shld be over, LL took out another "huge box" from her bag again~ She told me to "open the present slowly", but ppl noe I'm a gan jeong spider la... I flipped up tat big stack of papers and saw like a styrofoam filled with some batteries and I tot it was my present u noe!? LL was literally "stamping her feet" cos I din follow her instructions lol... so she actualli spent 2days' to help do my twin lens reflex cam! There's even a roll of film la... whoa man we spent some time experimenting with it, but still dunno if it works neh haha.

Oh while KW was happily looking at the lens, somehw accidentally dropped the lenses. One of the parts couldn't be found at one pt of time, and I really tot the cam can't use liao, but lucky we found it back soon! Trina came after her lessons and gave me a mini cake!

And I think Dorothy and her gave me this cute stuff toy bear as my bday gift haha! *Dang mum was hugging to it and kept saying it reminded her of me and bro when we were babies LOL!* So while we were enjoying The Goodfellas' singing, I reckon I had an enjoyable night! We were pretty much laughing thruout hehe. Oh and we were running for the last train practically haha~

Oh well dad, mum, grandma and I went downstairs to hav zi char for dinner... as a simple dinner for dad's belated bday!

It's very simple really, but we all loved the assam fish head curry~ super yummy la! *Yeah I think I won't ask for anything more than my fav dishes from my family on my bday from nw on! Hehe~*

It's sth I feel tat's really impt in life. After 22+yrs of learnt and still learning, I seem to be receiving more than giving, which isn't tat gd imo haha. I'd tell myself, time and again, to be more generous, no matter wat. And yes, this is wat I'll continue to do, and do more haha.

It's a hectic wk... juz one HC204 ppt down on tues (thks to MH for the praise of our voices haha~), and we've gt another HC303 ppt nex thurs. Nt to mention, HC360 report by the wk after nex. Came to no conclusion yet for our HC303 discussion on tues, so gt to read up the bks we borrowed and decide on the focus pt this fri. Well, nth much but juz random... I tot the "Red Chamber" movie Prof Yi showed us on tues' lec was nt bad.

Anyway, after HC360's tut today, met up with QW, Pat, WZ and PQ at Bugis itacho Jap restaurant~ the one WZ recommends. *I'm having lotsa Jap food for my bday~ "Jap feast" lol!*

WZ already knew wat she wanted to eat, so she ordered kinda fast. It's those self-service kind of ordering, so basically we all took note of wat we ate... better for cost calculation haha. *"1314" is stuck is my mind nw once I think of PQ cos she kept repeating tat order no. for her caramel pudding lol~* Anyway, I had like 7 diff items, including cod cavier, salmon in soy sauce, lobster salad, mango salad and octopus sushi, mussel with tomato-sauced udon and the eel I shared with Pat.

Overall, they were all nice! Then, the gals gave me my bday presents haha! WZ, Pat and PQ gave me a really cute bday card, wallet and capitalLand vouchers, while QW gt me a yoga mat and a scarf!

WZ drew me a "Snowman" on both the envelopes and in the card haha~ big thks for their wishes neh! I muz say QW's present came in time sia! She actualli took note thru my words tat I needed a yoga mat and hw nice a scarf was~ haha! *有心了~感动！* Seriously I dunno when I would go and get a yoga mat if she din buy for me omg lol! *It might take me till nex yr I think~ haha!* As for the scarf, I'd been seeing in MINA mags hw the models would use these kind of scarfs to decor their dressing... shall try it soon!

We were chatting half way when WZ and Pat left for the washrm. *Wat if I wanted to go too!?* PQ, QW and I were left chatting, PQ was telling me about the Halloween events she and WZ were gonna attend at USS and Sentosa. Then, I realise WZ and Pat took really long to come back, but din "suspect" anything u see. PQ then said she wanted to go to the toilet too, then QW went to the counter to pay the bills.

Suddenly, I heard the gals singing me a bday song to me from behind! LOL~ they surprised me with a tiramisu cake!

Later WZ revealed tat the 2 couldn't find lighter to light the candles haha! They planned to borrow from the Polar Cake auntie at 1st, but she din hav 1. So the auntie suggested to them to look ard see who looked like "smokers" and borrow from them... and these 2 gals started looking ard lol~ the way they described was hilarious... like hw Pat tot 1 "ah beng" looked like he would smoke, but WZ tot otherwise. *WZ was joking shld they go up and ask "Do u smoke?" LOL~ I reckon the person would tot they were there to promote "quit smoking campaign" ah HAHA!* In the end, they came back to itacho's counter, hiding away while they borrowed a lighter from the counter staff lol. Great effort gals~ thks I appreciate it!

So yup I had a short and sweet celebration with my poly friends! Glad I feel tat comfortable ard my gd friends!

My early 23rd bday lunch with sec clique + The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

Met up with QW and Shermeen on sat morning for Jap buffet at Senki restaurant near Killiney Rd... with their colleagues Jenny and Lucas. *missed the opportunity to take pic of the spread~* Been 2yrs since I saw Shermeen, and she said I looked like I slimmed down haha. I was rather quiet thruout la, cos they were talking about stuffs at OOCL and most of them were no longer "any of my business" haha. The buffet lunch ended at 2.30pm, and Shermeen was nice to treat me and QW to it. 3 of us headed to H and M, but honestly, the designs weren't flattering. Shermeen left after, while QW and I went to MUJI when she gt her cushion seat for her mum... filial daughter haha. Ended the day with video watching at my house haha.

*Guess it turned out sunny after all, after a night of gloom.*

On sun, YB, James and Jess originally planned to hav my bday lunch at Wild Honey, but alas the waiter told them we'd hav to wait an hr for seating, so they changed their mind and we went over to Sakae Sushi at Orchard Central! *Lvl 6 seemed so "empty" so I joked I already "booked the whole restaurant" LOL!*

YB chose her food really fast, as usual, leaving me to flip thru the menu really slowly haha. Jess and I ended up having the same food... Sashimi Kaminabe(?). I liked it. James had rice cos he's very hungry haha. YB ordered a cheese teriyaki chicken meat, and kyoza too... okie la nt bad hehe.

Oh and yes for "what I'd been waiting for"...

YB, Jess, James & PH shared my bday gifts: Sephora's lip gloss and blusher! *OMG the blusher is very ex neh... I gt "gold" on my face le lol!* YB was so tempted so she went to get another one for herself after our lunch sia haha. Anyway, the 2 gals oso gt themselves lip balms too. They planned to get me eye shadows but suddenly rmb-ed I dun apply eye shadows haha.

Oh and I dunno if it was meant to be a surprise, but I'd been looking at the "plastic bag" James was holding onto since we met, but I din ask until they took it out after our lunch. It was cupcakes (by right shld be 12 in total, but YB and Jess finished 4 b4 I reached...) James bought from Sophie haha... she sells them online too! *Wat a great way to advertise for his gf!*

I tried 2 kinds, and I'd hav to say I like the peanut butter brownies... esp the brownies hehe. *James even esp went to buy a lighter to light the candle lol~ he's oni gt matchsticks at home... so "trad" haha!*

We shopped ard Taka and Orchard Central, for YB's Happy Lemon haha. James left 1st, while the 3 of us went to MUJI cos I wanted to get the slippers I saw ysd with QW... 10bucks for 1... better be "lasting" lol. Saw the brand Naruko at Watsons and I told them the night eye gelly was gd (since I dun seem to hav obvious dark eye circles though I seriously lack slp...). YB食言, bought one whitening lotion after the blusher haha.

Caught "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" ysn.

I dunno y but I'm somehw moved by this story. I felt for the Jews... they were cruelly tortured by the Nazis. It was thru the eyes of innocence, a plainly honest friendship bet. 8 yr old Bruno and Shmuel tat revealed the cruelty of human race... one for themselves.Their friendship is physically barred by the wirings, but they were nv distant.

In the scene whr Bruno denied knowing Shmuel when the Nazi soldier questioned him, causing Shmuel to be beaten up, sorta pricked. I mean I do understand the fear a little child could hav in front of an adult, but it was juz painful to see.

Omg the ending was heart-wrenching to watch, but I wondered if it served as a lesson to Neil Hitler (David Thewlis)? Like hw the novel ended... "he (Neil) didn't really mind what they (Red army) did to him any more."

国家之大，显得家庭那么地渺小。Neil said himself "Home is whr the family is." He's gt his "big home", but lost tat "small yet precious home"... 内心既然虚空，他就只是个流浪的孤儿。
